After LOTGH, no gore surprises me anymore. Battle of Vermilion and any time Walter and his boys got into a melee fight are still burned into my mind.

During ep6 of Akame, all this gore and I'm just going eh, gruesome, but I just saw worse last week.

Watched 7 episodes of Shinsekai Yori.
It's a really good anime that develops slowly as the narrative progresses. What really makes it shine is its setting. It's sort of like Hogworts in Japan but A LOT more crueller and there's a ton a backstory to go with why things are the way they are.
Sorry for the crappy synopsis there, hardly a Chris thing, but I'm crap at explaining things. But I know when something is decent and Shinsekai Yori is beyond that. It starts of slow, and you will have moments of 'wtf is happening' but as the story goes along, more and more is revealed to you and you start putting the pieces together.
It's sort of like a good book that doesn't need the narrator to tell you what is what for a page and a half. The setting unfolds along with the narrative.
So yeah, check it out if you have the time.

Akame Ga Kill.. Excellent, exceptional and extremely potent episode this week. It was absolutely fantastic and easily one of the best episodes of this anime season. It's in a very good company and it continue the development that Akame Ga Kill has done since the start to become better each week. Always something that's better and now it was better on all fronts. Some very incredible scenes in this episode and House can testify that i did comment on a million of them within a few minutes to go completely quiet for at least 20 min. What anime do i now look forward to the most next week? I got no clue anymore since Akame does not accept any other position than first and it's closer than ever. I even got to meet a character that completely awed me in the art of crazy, i'm almost speechless about this character. What an episode..

Fate/Zero is disturbing and dark to very impressive levels. Nothing will beat episode 7 but episode 9 sure did a good try at one point. Still.. everything is so pretteh
