The Wrongs think its "Made in Japan=Anime, Anywhere Else=Nope".
That is objectively false.
Not so sure about that. I think you're conflating western and Japanese definitions over something that's kinda pointless anyway.
In Japan, yeah anime just refers to animation. Just like manga just refers to comics. To the Japanese, Superman is a manga. But the reason in the west we specifically take loan words like anime and manga is to refer to the ones that were produced in Japan, where the word comes from. It's a convenient distinction because there are a lot of qualities from the art style to the storytelling that distinguish it from western comics and cartoons.
There are some cartoons that have an anime art style, but that doesn't mean they are anime, by the general English speaking definition, whether just referring to its origin, or the totality of what it is beyond just the art style.
I say it's pointless because even if I consider something a cartoon, doesn't mean I don't like it. We just went over that with Samurai Jack at the top of the last page.
Eh, people are silly.

Would be hilarious, but I am off for the night. Chow

Still, I wanted Avatar on Crunchyroll. Of course they chose dumb Hulu with its dumb ads.

Hulu is super dumb.
Hulu is super dumb.
Getting closer...

Nope that's all I got, lol.
Don't have any anime to talk about either...
Oh wait, yes I do.
Want to know an anime NOT to watch?
Tokyo ESP. Blegh.
Two words describe Tokyo ESP, ripoff and fanservice. Don't watch it.
No idea what the hell it is so I'll make sure to continue disregarding its existence.

There's a perverted old martial arts mentor in Tokyo ESP named Master Roshi, as if ripping off Marvel so thoroughly wasn't enough.
HAHAHAHA
Wow
Like...wow
Re...really?
You know, I'll take your word for it.
I might tell myself its intentionally trying to be a parody.

I wanted to think that when I was inundated with all the X-Men stuff, but no. If it's trying to do that it doesn't come across. It's just so bad. And not Powerglove bad.
*shrugs*
The reality is there is really a lot of not very fun anime out there, unfortunate but kind of true.
Personally one anime I couldn't stand was Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas. I couldn't tell one thing that actually happened from beginning to end, got the two main characters confused repeatedly, and was sitting through dozens of DBZ fights... yeah.
DBZ fights are awesome...
...in DBZ.
Has this thread slowed down lately. It seems so.
Been hard at work preparing certain rituals and demonic summonings for future use. That and the look-out party for my bro is also ongoing although that's obviously secondary priority to getting myself my own personal demon servant!

That's true of all entertainment, at least that's how I look at it anyway.

Suppose i might reach that point at some point in a few years once i've exhausted the ungodly amount of anime i actually got to watch from times past and this very moment. Now however i've never had more fun watching anime and i sure hope it continues for a while longer.
Speaking of fun anime.. looking forward to Aldnoah later today!

The subtleties of linguistics are too complicated for most people.
Liking the Dressrosa Arc a lot with One Piece -- More Doflamingo is a-okay with me. They should have just had Mark Hamill do his dub voice then we'd be in business.
Aldnoah is the best popcorn flick of the summer, by far. Today's episode had some important developments... and one heck of a deus ex machina. But then, I'm always up for seeing giant robots getting
It's silly, but probably my favorite part of the episode-long battle was how the sky changed. That was a nice touch you don't often see.
