It's going to be incredibly hard if not impossible to trump Fate/Zero with whatever i watch next. Just finished the second season and outside of a bit of a pacing issue and a few characters maybe lacking a min or two of screentime i got no real issues with the show. I've at multiple times stated that this is the most gorgeous anime that i've ever watched and the second season only provided more scenes that could blow ones mind. Action sequences where very well made and worked very well within the setting they used. While gorgeus to watch they never took away from the story or the characters which really was the carrying force of the show. Fate/Zero got its fair share of unremarkable characters but it also contain some characters that i'll have a hard time forgetting and that will come to mind quite often which is impressive. The story is really entertaining and absolutely a reason why i could rewatch this show a million times over again. It got a few issues here and there and could've benefited from an episode or two more but it didn't in any form weaken the experience when i summarize it all. The soundtrack of Fate/Zero is full of insanely awesome tracks and it got a decent variety and so much of it really do carry the Yuki Kajiura magic seal of awesomeness. Right tracks were used at the right moments and made for some spectacular scenes together with the art. Now about the ending, i could possibly guess something like this was up due to Gen being part of Fate/Zero but really it's one of the last ways of how it would end that i'd consider and it did make it all the much better just because of what type of ending it was. I really, really did like how Fate/Zero ended and since it's a prequel it couldn't exactly end however it wanted and this was about as awesome is it could've. Will really miss watching it until next time and will certainly miss a few characters but not you Caster, you genuinly terrify me!

Yeah, bro. Caster was someone where my crazy levels could not reach. I mean, I'm crazy, I love crazy.

 

But Caster would make the Joker cry to sleep.

 

As for the end, I really did enjoy the way Emiya's 'choice' was handled. His character needed more development though. His relationship with his wife and other things were lacking. And though you can 'get' him (not empathy but more like an idea of where he's at) he needed a bit more focus.

 

I think for a 25 episode anime that dealt with depth it was far too short for the amount of characters in it. It was like digging a hole and only reaching 3/5 to your destination.

 

I'm crazy, i aspire to crazy and always evolve further into crazy and Caster is just waaaaaay too crazy for me to handle. He's just.. crazy!

 

And yeah, more screentime for a few characters really would've made it all the better and made a lot of things actually feel more natural and have more of a real impact. Instead i got the most gorgeous storage container in history.. kinda ok with that!
