Almost done with both Bakemonogatari and Squid girl season 1. Bakemonogatari is a diamond, really not at all what i'd expect to enjoy but it's so special compared to what i've experienced so far it's almost like a unicorn. A very amazing and really memorable unicorn in that sense. 

Squid Girl, i think it was Lotion that actually recommended it a while back and i don't regret for a second picking it to watch because it's just so very amusing. I don't care how improbable or how silly things are as long as Ika Musume keep being her. All hail our messenger from the sea

Decided to complete the first season of Squid Girl today and it's been a never ending flow of amusing scenes and entertaining characters that fill their little quirky role well enough. The show is not the best thing ever known to man but it's absolutely a show that i'd recommend just because it was never boring to watch it and therefore i'd say it very much did what it was meant to do. Of course the anime would succeed when it's carried by the conquerer of the world Ika Musume. She's the perfect main character for this show and really is the real reason why it's something that could be worth a watch in between some way more serious and some much more high quality animes that are out there.

Finished Steins;Gate today, and damn that was a good one!

 

A great time travel story which manages to not get too complicated and stays on course of the plot without resulting to almost any plotholes, has fun characters (especially Okabin and that is largely through his VA). I laughed and I cried through the anime. This one goes into my collection of good time travel stories.

Isichar was waiting for someone to give high praise to Steins;Gate so that he could give them a piece of his mind about that series, if I recall correctly. I guess you were spared that drubbing.

Haha, how so? Does he/she think it bad or overrated? Well I'd hardly consider it one of the best animes as some articles and people I've seen people post, but it is without a doubt a very very good one.

Yes, definitely do watch it. I highly recommend it. It might be quite slow at the start, but around episode 9 it starts to catch up

Had lots of time between nights. So I wrapped up the Bakuman anime (which is fantastic, I loved the manga to bits but the anime flows a lot better and it skips one totally pointless arc that should never have been there in the first place.) Aaaand.

Tokyo Ghoul this week was not bad at all. Better than i've come to expect, still the usual issues are there but at least it did cover things that were interesting and did show a lot about two very influential characters in the show.
