Isichar was waiting for someone to give high praise to Steins;Gate so that he could give them a piece of his mind about that series, if I recall correctly. I guess you were spared that drubbing. 

 

I plan to watch it sometime eventually, glad to hear you enjoyed it.

 

Its not like Isichar hates it as far as I know. He just wanted some mindf*** ending one would expect from a time travel story. Personally I hate those types of endings, since most of the time they don't make any sense. But yeah, Steins;Gate was the first anime show that I ever watched and I really liked it. I pre-ordered the blu ray, once it comes out I'll be interested to see how my opinion of it may or may not have changed in the last year (and dozen's of anime's watched since then).

Bakemonogatari might be one of my favorite shows so far and it's close to impossible explaning why. It's a show that has made my mind warp itself a few times, been absolutely hilarious at other times and in between had some rather unique storytelling with characters that i'll have an exceptionally hard time forgetting. Was at no point even close to getting bored and more times than i can count i ended up spending time after watching just trying to really understand what i had seen earlier. Also ended up genuinly liking the main character of the show, always a bonus when that happens! Solid sountracks that meshed most of the time very well with what was happening on the screen. Loved the choice of art style which needed an episode or two to grow on me and now is one of the first things that I think about when reading the word Bakemonogatari. Will absolutely watch all the other seasons in due time, probably not all in one go though.

Sounds about right. At least Madara, aside from being a total BAMF and having some great lines, was somewhat grounded in the story being told. We'd had some build-up regarding his conflict with Hashirama leaking down to their descendants. But I have absolutely no connection to this fight. It's Naruto and Sasuke with a whole bunch of random power ups which they didn't work for fighting a villain with virtually no context.

Heck Kishi didn't even bother to give her a background sob story like this arc's other newly introduced characters. He should've stuck with Madara since he's symbolic of the old system, and has been foreshadowed since part1.
