I thought it was her shoulder...
xD
Oh, and yeah, 8episodes into Gosick. The selling point? Kazuya's and VICTORIKA's relationship. However, the mystery? Ehh...
She's basically a Near light. Using intuition most of the time to solve the crimes and doesn't produce much evidence really. I've been too spoilt by Poirot though, still, maybe her 'Wellspring of Knowledge' isn't something cute she does but is ACTUALLY some magical item she has.
I like Kazuya, but he so dumb xD
Somewhat random, but can anyone recommend the anime Gilgamesh to me? It seems interesting, but I wanted a concrete review before committing.

They really are the focus of Gosick. Sure the time period and locations with the little tidbits of info about "legends" are kinda awesome aswell but the mysteries themself are very basic at least for now. I've only watched 10 episodes so maybe they get better later down the line, they do improve very little each time so.. maybe? Not going to expect them to blow the mind or anything. That said it's an enjoyable watch and I totally do agree that Kazuya is very likeable. His noble but sometimes slighty dumb personality really work

Nope. But it does sound interesting for what I just looked up. Haha.

I might have to give it a bit of a watch this weekend. I've been on a very dark anime kick lately rewatching Psycho Pass, Fate/Zero, and Darker than Black. Might be nice to get some new blood in there.
Fate/Zero.It represents, in my opinion, the apex of anime entertainment. It has some spectacular action scenes and the violence isn’t so overt as to distract from the type of intelligent story telling that you may find in it. In a nutshell, there are a sufficient number of “WTF” moments as well as sentimental dramatic scenes to please you.
I'd recommend watching Fate/Stay Night before watching Zero, b/c it is a prequel, but you can enjoy it either way.
Sorry long the long reply, been very busy with work but have time now. I've been checking Fate/Stay Night but a lot of people seem to suggest watching Fate/Zero instead and ignoring Night. Is there a reason why? Is Night that terrible?

Fate/Stay Night is definitely not terrible, it is just all the fans of the Visual Novel who blatantly keeps hating on it. The hate is understandable but not exactly fair on the anime. The reason why many people find the Night terrible is b/c the anime is based on the visual novel of the same name, and like with many visual novels have different paths that the player can make that leads to different outcomes. There are 3 primary routes in the game, and the anime follows the one people like the least. If you take a look at different polls, you will often see the Fate route in the visual novel (which the anime is adapted on) is placed last with only a minimal of votes compared to the other two.
I haven't played the Visual Novel, so I can't comment, but the anime is good. There are better ones out there and there are worse ones. You shouldn't worry on which you watch first. Take Star Wars trilogies as an example. You can enjoy them both respectively, but one will slightly spoil certain stuff for you one way or the other. I personally tend to watch stuff that got released first, even if the recent one is a prequel. You tend to have a better understanding of the world and there are often characters, places, events that are a nice reference to people who have seen the previous one before. But it is up to you.
Many people will recommend watching Fate/Zero first, b/c it is better than Night and done by a different studio. Also, the same studio who made Zero will release their own adaptation of Fate/Stay Night which focuses on a different path that what the 2006 version of Fate/Stay Night did, which adapts the most popular and what people argue is the best one in October. So if you don't want to bother with 2006 version, you can just watch Zero now and later wait for the upcoming Night version. Personally I would again suggest 2006 version, since it is on itself quite good.
Thank you for the detailed reply, Saber Wolf! Gonna take your advice and start with Nigth then move to Zero ![]()

Avril should just accept the fact that Cujo (yes, the dog, not gonna call him by anything else) is a loli fan xD
Perhaps it would be best not to question buuuut. What are you talking about?

Ah, Gosick ![]()
A good anime overall. Great characters, a little dumb sometimes and the mystery element is amusing. Best thing about it is the romance between the two main characters really, their chemistry is awesome.
Ah right. That's actually on my list. I forgot you were watching that. Oh **** that reminds me. I still need to get off my ass and watch Sunday without god.

Exactly! It's the chemistry between the characters and the fact that the anime takes place in an era and in an area that I really never otherwise get to see that's the best. That and Kujo really is one noble baka! ![]()

If you want a greater chance of enjoying both, I'd suggest starting with Stay Night. It's easier to go up in quality rather than down.
I actually enjoyed Stay Night quite a bit, but it falls into a few unfortunate anime traps, like the Harem Hero, which limits its appeal depending on the viewer. Additionally, as a protagonist I found the main character extremely frustrating where he makes some extremely bad decisions.
As someone who watched Zero first though, I have to admit they did an excellent job of establishing it as a prequel. There's quite a few moments in Stay Night which clearly inspired certain story arcs in Fate/Zero. And I can't get enough of Saber.

Will do, Chief. ![]()

Okay, bro, don't know if you've seen it yet.
But the Leviathan arc in Gosick is freaking excellent!

Seen 10 episodes and will be watching about 2 Gosick episodes a night. But it sounds really awesome! Looking forward to some more awesome arcs than the ones earlier

Yeah, it seems you're right, they get better as they go along. VICTORIKAAAA still uses intuition over anything, but it isn't as bad as Near so that's all right. But the Leviathan mystery was really cool and the ending was great too.
This arc now is interesting also, gonna watch one more episode (and I'll be at 17) before I go to bed.

Hihi gang! Popping in to prove I'm still alive and to make some noises over KLK's OVA since I just finished it. To spoilers I go!
So is it going to change anyone's mind on the series? I don't think so considering it just ties up some loose threads (hurrr), but it was definitely worth the watch for fans that wanted one more go around in the world.
I hope everyone's been doing well~
I FORGOT ABOUT THAT!! *Speeds away to watch*
