Toriko is a crazy series. After smelling the uber food ingrediant AIR, Toriko temporarily gained the ability to see far into outerspace. But i think this is eclipsed by him surviving a fight against a kaiju sized horse who could inhale 25 billion cubic kilometers of oxygen in around one minute.

So I think I might just go for a 'classic' and go for Neon Geneis Evan-wahtever.

 

So, two questions:

 

Will I be disappointed with the investment I'll put into it? (Because if I do like it I might just watch what's in the rest of that sidebox.)

 

Is the dub any good?

 

You've probably seen too much stuff already, so it won't feel to be a big deal. And you heard of its reputation, so your expectations are set. I'm glad I have watched it among my first few animes, knowing almost nothing about it, but I hate it with a burning passion as hot as the last supernova which will forever render this universe pitch black.

 

I don't watch dubs, but I heard it made Shinji sound even more of a weakling. If you really hated Yukiteru in Mirai Nikki that much, then get a punching bag.

 

Anime -> End of Evangelion. Haven't watched the remake/reboot yet.

I'd take EoE any day over that pretentious, two parter ending which is a budget cut masquerading as an artistic statement.

Finished watching both Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero.

 

Well short answer is, I'm in love with this franchise! Night was "okayish" and Zero was outright excellent! It had a solid plot, well rounded characters who all were characterized (heck even that child murderer had some), superb action / fight scenes, top notch visuals, excellent soundtrack, managed to raise some philosophical questions and was full of heart! Yeah, Faith/Zero is one of my all time favorite anime I've seen!

 

Quite pleased that the same studio who made Zero have their own adaptation just around the corner. Makes the waiting more bearable!

 

Next up is Akame ga Kill!

Haha! Glad you loved Zero. It is indeed a great anime, and I as well consider it one of my all time favorites. 

 

And yes. Be excited about Ufotable's version of Night. It looks stunning! And I bet the fight scenes will be even more "COOOOOL!"

EoE sounds like a massive risk. You love it or hate it sort of thing.

 

Problem is I have no idea where to start. There's like Evangelion 3.0 and Evangelion 1.0, then Neon Evangelion... like wha?
