Ban may be my favorite Sin but True. Dreyfus redeeming himself before he died was cool, but the elbow that Hendricksen threw at Griamor was vicious. The kid is missing some front teeth. Also, the Sins stomping on Hendricksen made this chapter for me. It's that team work.

Geth's earlier comment on ASoIaF almost made me want to link to Jim Sterling's Gay Mass Effect Fan Fic, but let's keep that away from here. It at least made me think of it.

 

 

Though the book says 'Game of Thrones' it's really all about ASOIAF.

Lots of sex in both the books and TV.

 

But as G.R.R Martin points out.

 

Sex is an everyday thing. It's totally stupid to avoid the subject just because it's considered 'taboo' or 'private.' So why would he write about characters who go through everyday life if they don't have sex.

 

It doesn't make sense.

Centuries of indotrinated cultural ideas have made people think of sex, even today, as something sacriledge -- At least still in regards to women. If a woman chooses to sleep with a lot of men/or women depending on your fancy then she's a no good for nothing trollop.

If a male does it -- Then he's a hero to be sung by the bards in tales for generations to come!

Now obviously, it's a bit of exaggeration but that's generally how it is still.. today.

 

Sex is nice, it's pleasurable -- Women are as independent as any human being and they are free to make their own choices. But they are also complex beings, much like what I feel Martin wants to point out with his characters in regards to their philosophy, beliefs but also their sexual desires. They are complex because of their flaws, uncertainties, or general need for sexual gratification without the unnecessary baggage of commitment - A lot of men enjoy that. in fact, I highly recommend the movie, Shame, with Michael Fassbender. It essentially covers this whole thing I've been talking about.

 

So, anyway, anime.

 

I've just been watching a bit more of One Piece.. and that's about it for now.
