So though I can see that the budget has been cut down dramatically in ep25, the writing isn't any worse, that is to say, that the writing is still top notch.
However...
There is one thing that does kind of disappoint me and that's the near-abandonment of the overall narrative. As of now, the focus has really shifted on the characters and their psychological condition questioning themselves, the self that other people perceive, the reality around them and how they deal with their personal loneliness.
See, I was really getting into the whole Angles plot, but as of now, the focus has shifted so much onto the characters that I've really lost track of the whole business revolving SEELE and Nerv.
Still, I suppose it's what they can do with the budget they have and for what they're doing it's absolutely great.
One more episode until "congratulations" so yeah... after that it's straight to End of Evangelion to see if it's all everybody is saying it is. I'm glad people here are saying it's great since I can rely on your opinions.
On a side note.
JoJo has 3 episodes left, no?
Good. I'm gonna dig into that one ASAP.

EoE does a much greater job of filling in lore/story. It's definitely a memorable movie, if not incredibly bizarre and/or mind----ing.

Been watching up to 17 episodes of Gintama and I am genuinely surprised by it.
I never expected it to have any relevant characterization or story progression other than to give a certain structure to the show to keep it moving forward, so I was surprised to see how deep it actually can get from time to time. Even if Gintama could be summarized as one big parody on anime and manga, it doesn't shy away from drama, character development, world building, back story, and the inclusion of well rounded side characters. It is rather refreshing to see that the show manages to have an identity of its own and it easy to like it past its humor.

Glad that you have been enjoying Gintama, Chewin. It is indeed funny and great, and gets better and more serious as it progress, but doesn't lose its momentum on the humor department. Haven't finished it all, need to get to it someday.
If you are looking for great animes to watch, I highly recommend Fate/Zero. I could give some details if you are interest, but I would recommend going in blind. I'm sure you will like it, and I bet you will fall in love with Saber, Emiya Kiritsugu and Kotomine Kirei.

I definitely get the sentiment. One of the major episodes around 20 focuses greatly on the NERV origins and lore, but after that point(besides kowaru), it tends to go more into character-focused psychological study mode. 25-26 are about the same, to the point where reality in said episodes are in question.
EoE does a much greater job of filling in lore/story. It's definitely a memorable movie, if not incredibly bizarre and/or mind----ing.
I find the psychological aspect fascinating. It's good that I had Chris' text to back me up or else I'd have a really hard time getting my head wrapped around it. However, my preference is really setting and lore over to convoluted characters. But I still find it amazing! Story telling can go onto many different branches, so it's always great to explore something you're unfamiliar with.

We-ell, I like Steve Blum and Wendee Lee and whoever's doing Jet (basically the main cast, from what I understand), and I heard Chief Aramaki's English voice in that bird fortune teller, but the voice work filling out the rest of the cast seems pretty so-so.
Bebop has the best dubbing ever -- In fact it's widely considered much better to that of the Japanese voices. It fits the setting, atmosphere and the jazzy undertones of its soundtracks -- Even Wantanabe, himself, said he preferred the dubbing cast. But anyway, you are now officially dead to me. Please line up on the wall along with Liam so that I may smother you both with mud! :I

What are you scoffing on about when you're supposed to be lined up on the wall, getting festered by the unpleasant wet flesh of mother earth? Get to it, maggot.

In hindsight. Gintoki has incredible willpower over his urges.
I wonder if he's a eunuch xD
I'd be all over sa-chan.
But that's because I'm a hentai.
