Considering the scene, it would've made the same difference had he Jerked it or graped her, because it's still violation of a woman. It, to me, is a disgusting scene, and took away what little respect for Shinji I had at that point.

So almost done with Nisemonogatari and goodness this season has been very special. Don't think that I've ever seen some of the things that it did before and if I ever see some of them again I'll be awfully suprised.

Sim, I think you're the man. But that's not what I meant at all.

You're main character doesn't have to be likeable. But you have to respect him/her to some degree otherwise you have failed to make your story engaging.

Shinji sucks, and being forced to slog through the events with him doesn't equal anything I consider good, or engaging, or enjoyable.

At least the animation was pretty. 

But this has nothing to do with that at all.

You are a big man child. You know that, Clones? You're simply pathetic beyond believe.. wow. The fact that you have the gall of calling me a creep, in an attempt to understand the meaning behind a implemented scene in an animation show? You know there's a difference between condoning someone's actions and trying to understand them, right? It's fiction by the way, just in case that didn't sink in but here's some food for thought -- The entire Evangelion story is a character study of Shinji’s indecisiveness, emotional instability, and confused personality conflicted between a desire for acceptance and approval and a desire for independent happiness.

Throughout the Evangelion series Shinji struggles to be honest to himself and independent in his thoughts and actions, but is ashamed of himself because of his emotional dependence, moral weakness and inability to maintain any personal independence. Early in the End of Evangelion movie, when he sees Asuka partially naked, he simply does what comes natural, then immediately afterwards regrets this lack of willpower and betrayal of his dignity, integrity and moral respect for both Asuka and himself. He’s ashamed because he allowed his primal instincts to dominate his rational conscience. When he’s finished, he begs Asuka to wake up and again be his surrogate conscience. Shinji’s emotional side wants Asuka, or anyone, to make his decisions for him, but his rational mind recognizes, and is ashamed of this psychological weakness and fear of responsibility, which explains his disgust with himself.

This sequence was included because it’s a clear physical and psychological representation of Shinji’s conflicted personality that simply could not have been included in animation intended for public television broadcast -- That's how I interpreted it. Don't really care what you think about it but don't ****** dare insult me like that.

 

Oh, I'm sorry little boy. I bow down to the mightyness of your fictional character being able to beat up my fictional character. Boo-******-hoo. It's frickin incredible that you think your continuos childish antics towards me in any way will rustle me. Congratulations, I suppose, for affirming a fictional characters' status over another fictional character, and securing some sort of non-existent affirmance to yourself that you might have finally achieved something in life.. I do hope you know they are just that.. fictional. You can at least understand that much, right?

I would never forgive myself if I hadn't watched Nisemonogatari. It's not as good as Bakemonogatari and such but it sure has left an impression on me and it wont be possible to forget a good amount of scenes.
