So almost done with Nisemonogatari and goodness this season has been very special. Don't think that I've ever seen some of the things that it did before and if I ever see some of them again I'll be awfully suprised.

I just finished Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and enjoyed it quite a bit. I thought it was interesting given Gen Urobuchi's obsession with dystopia's that instead of seeing a dystopian world it explored how one raised in that environment would react I shoved into the polar opposite setting.

Speaking of Gainax's corpse, it looks like Trigger is doing something this fall, and it looks... generic. Based on some light novel series. Color my first impressions 'unimpressed.'

Sailor Moon Crystal is good. Lot of whining about the opening song but it's Attack on Titan meets one of those girl groups. It's perfect. Also lots of whining about the CGI. It's fine. It only comes out once every two weeks though, so that's a drag.

Everyone's different, the more I look at it the more it annoys me for some reason. (Example 1: that dude's face. It annoys me. It needs to be punched.)
Hope it will surprise me, but for now I have to take it like it's not related to Based Trigger because the quality is ultimately dependent on the source material more than anything else. And yeah, the source... I'm seeing dead horse character tropes and dead horse high school slice of life rom com light novel bullshit written all over it. Ahem. I should probably rein in the preconceptions.
Like I said, this is all first impressions, so who knows.

Look at it! It's generic as ****. But I thought that about madoka magica and kill la kill so I hope the concept is pulled off well. I should probably make a post on what animes have caught my interest for fall since summer is ending.

Yes I thought it was some girly crap I should avoid at first.. You were the one who got me to watch it if I remember correctly. I expected to hate it and now it's my favorite anime.

I went in blind. Loved it. Then spread that love like a happy spoonful of Peanut Butter. You were the one of many I said should watch it.

Hi, everybody! I'm in a bit of a bind and I figured this would be the best place to ask in order to things solved. I've recently gotten into romcoms (romance comedies) and I just finished watching Toradora! and Sakurasou no Pet na kanojo, so now what? I haven't much idea what other romcoms exist and I was hoping that you guys and gals could give me some recommendations. Any answers are greatly appreciated!

I expected Madoka to be pretty good because everyone and Dio seemed to think Madoka was pretty good. I think most people here also had that factored into their decision to watch it. So I dunno what I would have thought about it if it was an upcoming series. Buuuut... most series aren't Madoka level.
