There's is a sub and dub on youtube by funimation so it's legal.

Cheers. Now I have to decide, sub or dub. Which to commit to.

I expected Madoka to be pretty good because everyone and Dio seemed to think Madoka was pretty good. I think most people here also had that factored into their decision to watch it. So I dunno what I would have thought about it if it was an upcoming series. Buuuut... most series aren't Madoka level.

PMMM was something else, I mean damn. So short and yet so effective.

Meanwhile, here's a RWBY Character Size Chart.

Ahem?

I mean...You made that thread too...

Eh honestly it fits in both threads. Anyways the dub had the most views on youtube so I would try that first and move to subs if you don't like it.

Not really. Since the RWBY thread was made because Prince tried multiple times to discuss RWBY on this thread. Only for nobody to care or deem it not Anime.

Posting RWBY stuff here when there's a lengthy RWBY thread still active on this forum seems pointless.

But whatever.

Here's a question. Despite Godzilla being a popular cultural symbol in Japan.

Why are the only Animated Adaptations of the character Western Animated shows?

Spoiler

There's never been a Godzilla Anime.

Hi, everybody! I'm in a bit of a bind and I figured this would be the best place to ask in order to things solved. I've recently gotten into romcoms (romance comedies) and I just finished watching Toradora! and Sakurasou no Pet na kanojo, so now what? I haven't much idea what other romcoms exist and I was hoping that you guys and gals could give me some recommendations. Any answers are greatly appreciated!  :)

Tonari no Seki-kun.

Okay, that's not rom com, but no one ever asks for suggestions that would warrant Tonari no Seki-kun being recommended, and it really deserves to be recommended more. It's hilarious.

Listen to this and tell me it doesn't sound hilarious.

I'm not posting in the RWBY thread for the foreseeable future. I didn't want to deal with waking up to posts insulting parts of the fandom my friends and I do or don't belong to, along with the cast and crew(reminds me of youtube comment sections). I thought it was just me but I got PMs about the same stuff that bothered me and had a conversation with a BSNer over XBL who got a headache aggravated from the same things bothering him.

It got to the point where I wasn't even going to update the OP anymore, but over in the Inquisition section I got quoted and asked about the BCY avatar I've got. The person hadn't seen Volume 2 of RWBY yet so I sent them a bigger full sized image of the avatar and a link to the OP of the thread;realizing this, I figured I was obligated to update it regardless of my participation or lack thereof. There were lurkers before and more on the way, hell I became one of them. For them there needs to be links.

So if I post anything RWBY related, it'll be here or in other threads if it makes sense. It usually doesn't which is why I've gone completely RWBY dark on the BSN for weeks.

I still catch the show though. Not dropping it any time soon, I thought the last few episodes were awesome. Watched the one this past Thursday with a different friend over XBL and we had a blast.

The dub? Hmm, interesting. Typically I'll lean towards subs, but I'll give the dub a go. Thanks for the advice.

Huh?  Just what kind of crazy drama happened in that thread when I wasn't looking?

Well, best not to drag it all out here. Sorry to hear about it though.

Well there are a few fans in here that don't go in the RWBY thread but he did used to post it in both threads which made a bit more sense to me. Anyways on topic I can't think of many romcom animes but I think Nisekoi and Golden time count but I haven't watched either yet.

Little bit of whining from multiple sources. It's the BSN. It happens.

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (aka My Little Monster) is an actual rom com though.

I'm sure a lot of people in this thread would also recommend Chuunibyou.

Prince, that sounds like you need some Gurren Lagann in your life to show you how not to give up so easily.

But if it means a 99.9% decrease on Prince posting his selfies on that thread I consider that an improvement.

^that kind of response towards people both here and in other places is an example of what I'm trying to avoid.

As for Spice & Wolf, the music at the start has caught my attention. I may be in, but I need to marinate on this one.

I looked that up a while ago but apparently it has a rape scene or something?

You say this RIGHT after I start Spice & Wolf.

Well, in an effort to keep the positive vibes flowing I want to stick to positive places. Inquisition section is here and there on that but mostly here with the new folks coming in, and then there's this thread that has a history with being...interesting. :P

Madoka Magica gifs. They are a blessing.

Well there are a few fans in here that don't go in the RWBY thread

New folks tend to pop in from time to time. Some stick, some leave. You know how it goes. (thanks for sticking around by the way, given RWBY was an accidental discovery for you if I recall correctly)

Thank you both for the replies! I'm going to give them all a chance, comedy is fine too (I've been dealing with a lot of stress, so comedy and romcoms are how I am currently coping). I'm open to more suggestions, I actually opened a blank document and started copying the suggestions!

I might have been the one who said that. Maybe I'm not the best person to be recommending that show.

I said I didn't watch past episode 1 because the guy uses an idle rape threat that's just ew. Apparently the show has some amount of renown though, and it does qualify to that genre.

edit: to be clear, talking about Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. Not Tonari no Seki-kun! Tonari no Seki-kun is unmitigated awesome.

I can't exactly leave after 4518 posts. That's almost half of all my posts on this site.

Ah right I think i'll keep it off my list. Tonari no Seki-kun already on my list.I plan to watch either that, chinobiyu, (I will never spell that right as long as I live) or girls und panzer when i'm done with hack in around 85 months.

I don't see any controversies mentioned on its Wikipedia article, so maybe no rape? I'll give it a go, I'd hate to miss out on show that might actually be good.

This is anime we're talking about. Rape causes no controversy whatsoever.

No, I doubt anything like that actually happens. Just the fact that he would even say something like that, irked me enough to abandon ship. I don't want to watch a show about a douche of that caliber.

Most bothersome rapey scene in anime I've seen, that wasn't to show how evil an antagonist was, or wasn't just retarded tentacle stuff, was actually a scene in Guilty Crown. They tried too hard to channel Shinji's doucheyness with that guy but went even farther and without Eva's adroitness.

Anyway, if you're looking for any sort of comedy, Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita (I somehow spelled that all out correctly without looking it up) is also a pretty good comedy show. Saccharine sweet, absurd, sometimes morbid comedy.

Also

Hataraku Maou-sama

Noragami

Binbougami ga!

All modern-day supernatural comedy.

Barakamon and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun are airing now and pretty good.
