The last two episodes of Aldnoah hasn't exactly taken me by storm in the writing department but luckily Aldnoah got so many other things going for it that it's not possible for me to not love the show. Like last episode had weak pacing and a few too many convenient things happening but it more than made up with the insanely good soundtrack and the as always brilliant animation quality.

Dunno... Yori is really a gem in anime and there's not much quite like it.

 

It's kind of strange at first, but you'll get it my bro's smart, not like Geth who has the mind of a demented 90 year old.

 

Yori is kind of heavy, so maybe something light? Unless you want two heavy things going at the same time.

 

Most likely a light anime, especially if Yori is what everyone says it is. I'm crazy, not insane!

I went into Steins;Gate thinking it would be the best thing ever and was sorely disappointing. The starting and buildup was ok, the middle was amazing but then the end just kind of petered off with terrible characterization, slow pacing and one of the worst climax's I've seen to date.

 

Hmmm, no that's all well and good I'm sure there are plenty people that don't like it, I just haven't found as many. I thought Moeka was one of the coolest characters, for instance, so liking or really not liking her would have a fairly sizable impact on overall enjoyment of the show, so what you say makes sense. Also Okabe is all right, probably not my favorite necessarily, but that's balanced out by Makise for me.

It's heavy mostly for its context. It's quite deep and not what you'd expect really. The characters are more POVs to this series which is basically a commentary on humanity and society as a whole. (This is why I want Chris to watch this because he digs this kind of stuff.)

 

So light anime?

 

Well... the gifs you've posted are from Toradora which is a pretty decent romance anime with non of Clannad's feels, so you're safe there. The dub's pretty great too.

 

The sub Tiga is voiced by Kagura methinks, so I can't watch that xD

 

Gintama's another option but that's 265 episodes...

You read my intentions well from what gifs I used. Toradora is a show I've had in mind for a while and might aswell go with it now. It's a good a time as any and need to save glorious Gintama for those darker fall/winter days
