Oh thank **** it's good kind of horror I like such as danganronpa, PMMM or ar tonelico cosmospheres. I'm not a fan of the overly gory jump scare horror.

I saw this Transformers/Gundamesque anime is being shown on TV:

That said..ti's ..kinda OK-ish. Kinda. Animation is luckluster. Story is meh.

 

If I were to recommend a giant robot anime from the 80's... I'd probably go with Daitarn III:

 

 

It too has at times crappy animation (common in the 80's) but it's fun and lighthearted.

Hihi everyone~ I've been internet-less for near on a week so I haven't been able to join in the chirping over SSY buuut I will offer a pressie. I haven't checked over every page to catch up yet so I'm unsure if Isi has already shared the link but the novel that the anime is based off of has a fan translation in the works. It's still ongoing and updates roughly every other day or so but they've made very good progress so far. I've skimmed it here and there to check out what differences there might be and the anime is incredibly faithful so far. The main difference is that the novel is told through Saki's POV, so the reader gets more of her inner thoughts and feelings.

As Gurren Lagann is a deconstruction of that genre, it is entirely possible that Kamina's appearance is based at least partially on this Banjo.

Trust me Sim, by the weekend I was rolling around and twitching from the withdrawals. Luckily Skyrim kept me busy as I've been ignoring it for months but had the keen sense to update my mods pretty much right before our ISP issues happened.

 

Now of course that I'm thinking about the series again, going to have to post some musics here (mostly cause I already posted them in the anime music thread back when I was watching it and weeeeell, perhaps I shouldn't repeat post...)

 

One will be safe for Rah to listen to, the other I strongly recommend waiting, friend. Mostly cause it still makes me an emotional wreck and I want you to hear it in context first.
