Man i still read Fairy Tail. Like Bleach i can't quit it. + points for Masima not taking the story seriously. In hindsight Rave Master was pretty decent.
I don't even know why I started reading it. I think I only picked it up in the last year and a half or so. The fact that it doesn't take itself seriously is definitely one of the reasons it sh*ts on Bleach for me. Plus Mashima actually utilizing more than 2 characters. Oh and dem boobs.
Also, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a good read. The art is dated for the first 3 arcs, and a half but the story is top notch. Part 7's artwork starts out good then it becomes gorgeous as it progresses. Plus the series has some of the best tactical fights in shonen, and seinen manga.
Agreed. He's becoming one of the cooler captains. I like how unconventional he is compared to the other Shinigami.
Damn straight. I'm impressed by how ingenious he is that he doesn't get his hands dirty directly in battle.
@Reezy- agreed.

Been seeing a lot of Jojo talk in here. That coupled with the fact that it inspired Persona makes me think it deserves a read.
Robert Speedwagon, Noriyaki Kakyoin, Rohan Kishbe, Jean Pierre Polnarref, Muhammed Avdol, Bruno Buccelati, along with Gyro, Caesar and William Zeppeli. Jojo's has so many quality charaters.
Or when he found out lisa lisa was his mother and not that long ago he was peeping on her and getting excited.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lisa was a babe and three quaters tho'
Thinking about it I would probably have a much easier time going into my top antagonists in anime then my favorite main characters but I'm sure she would be my number 1. It's surprisingly rare for the main character to be my favorite in a show for some reason.
Because in anime I've found side characters are usually cooler. It's like the mangaka came up with the protagonist first thing then as the story developed, found that his other chars were better but was too late to replace them.
This wasn't the case with Battle Tendency tho'
@Fairy Tail.
I'd watch it just for the laughs. Because from what I've heard and seen it's pretty funny.
@Naruto
So I finished the err... first major arc? Wouldn't know what to call it, but yeah, you-know-who dies and it was freaking fantastic. Naruto's battle was enough to give me goosebumps and everything from the dialogue to the emotional end was top notch.
So I go into the next arc... I'm about 10 episodes in.
So far it's pretty decent. We have new developments with Itachi (who's motives are unknown for now, but I've been warned that he is not all that he seems;) Kakashi had a cool fight too (which is good because I love the guy.) Gai is hilariously brilliant as always and deserves to be in JoJo because he is Gai. Naruto goes off with Jerai to do some training, so it's nice seeing him become stronger in skill and character. This new chick and her friend are pretty cool too...
However...
One thing that really made me facepalm and I hope it doesn't become a recurring thing from now on.
Snake-man (because Orochimaru is too much to remember) is a villain I always saw as cunning. Well, he gave off that impression anyway. But his latest 'entry' has been full of herpy derps.
Spoiler
YOU DO NOT CONVINCE YOUR OLD COMRADE TO FIX YOUR F*CKING ARMS BY DESTROYING AN ENTIRE CASTLE THEN TELLING HER THAT YOU KILLED YOUR OLD TEACHER AAAANNNNND THAT YOU WANT TO DESTROY HER OLD HOME
Sure, it could be interpreted as simple spite because the dude's an arse anyway. He had the trump card all along and all of the above was for a little bit of sadism.
Still...
A trump card is still a gamble so it was preeeeetttyyyy stupid. I did not like that.
Well I don't know if girls have it worse when watching anime, or at least I have seen more girls. Maybe I am just watching the wrong shows...
Highschool DxD is pretty funny. I had my fair share of laughs and some lewd scenes is always nice. Need to start watch FMAB when I get the chance. Probably after DxD, if I don't jump the gun on something else entirely.
FMAB is pretty much a guaranteed "like it." You're pretty unusual if you come out of that anime unsatisfied. Most people come out with a warm feeling, some tears and a big smile on their face.
It's funny what they end up doing with Orochimaru in the manga.
Spoiler
Guy was the villain for so long in the series and now he joined up and helped the good guys pretty much just cause
This is why I hate longer series that don't know where they're going, they tend to have a lot of really poorly thought out character arcs because characters just sort of do what's interesting for the story at certain plot points.

Ugh... really? No hidden motive? No good reason just... 'cos?
I mean, I've heard about Madara and he's pretty much Brolli x100000 so maybe he just doesn't want to be taken down by him?

I don't know...
I think he said something along the lines of "wanting to see how Sasuke develops" or some nonsense like that. I took it as a complete ass pull though.
The final arc just has random twists and characters flying at you left, right and center the entire time. It's like they mention a completely new character in one chapter in an offhand comment and then a few chapters later that character is now the big bad of everything that will destroy the world if not stopped sort of thing, and that happens like 3-4 times in a row.
Looks like there's another season of Tokyo Ghoul in January... I guess that's good, since if it ended on the last episode of season 1 that would be the most laughably bad non-conclusion I've seen in an anime.

Yeah he might've been better served fading into obscurity after he got sealed by Itachi.

Lol Madara didn't deserve to be tossed aside like that. And so suddenly too. Major goof on Kishimoto's part.

You know you can do that by the sidelines right? A better excuse would be "I don't want the bigger dog to chase me out" sort of thing. Help the good guys fight the bad guy so you can become the ultimate baddy again.

Madara went from ultimate badass to a nobody just within a few chapters. When he first started fighting they ramped up the hype for him so much and that was completely forgotten om almost no time flat.

Yeah when I saw him take on the whole Shinobi Alliance and the Hokage I was like, "This guy is on a whole different plane of awesome" They always said he was one of the strongest ninja to ever exist and they delivered when he finally showed up. I was thinking of what video game those moments reminded of and then Dynasty Warriors popped into my head. You feel unstoppable playing those types of games. Madara looked unstoppable
