Really?
I hope you're recalling incorrectly there.
Yeah there was a point, maybe in Shippuden, where I just asked myself: What happened to Orochimaru not being able to use jutsu?

If that's the case sim you guys should drop the show and watch a good shonen now like Hunter x Hunter
Oh no.
This is his idea.
Because he loves Naruto.
I'm tagging along his re-watch xD
More like "c'moooon dude, it's f*cking awesome" and I'm like "okaaaay."
I like it. Hell, I was even loving it until the Third... you know. But since then it's had a few baka moments.

I think I'm gonna make that plunge sometime today. Some Geth aka Horrible Anime Guru-sama was telling me to watch that for a while a long time ago. Besides catching up on Psycho-Pass before season 2 and Nozaki-kun I'm not watching anything.

Ah I see
then don't be a jerk like all of us and just act like you love it too. ![]()

Okay.
Who has Geth-sama/satan on steam?
Is this like? His job?
YES GETH.
YOU'RE ACTUALLY TOGASHI IN DISGUISE!

Well... so long as Lee and Gai are there I'll enjoy it.
I love those two.
Seriously, it should just have been called "LxG" and been all about their wacky adventures.

I had him. His name was KamenRider or something.
If Reezy is right and things keep on going that way by the first 20 eps of Shippuden I'll turn my brain off and just squee when Hinata's on and worship Gai and Lee like everybody should.
That is the worst part.
There's hardly any of those people showing up and when they do, it's relegated to sideroles, if not just cameos. The best you get from Lee/Gai or Hinata is from fillers ... and that is NOT a compliment.

I know. I'm just creating a scenario in my head where's he's invited the entire freaking thread to promote his work.
He comes every once and while to acknowledge my existence and tells me all about HxH JoJo and Sentai ![]()
TOGASHI! (He's the mangaka for HxH btw.)

Then I'll watch all the filler.
Anything with Gai and Lee in it is bound to be comedy gold.
Spoiler
That's actually why he is able to use jutsus again.

He wishes. Then he wouldn't have to wait for Togashi to stop playing Dragon Quest, or at least enjoy Dragon Quest while he waits.
I think I have to read the manga now, apparently I should start on Chapter 340 if I just wanna pick up from the anime.

Personally, I think you'll like it. The story's epic factor starts picking up and **** really starts hitting the fan.
If you were able to get past the Zabuza/Land of Waves arc, well, it doesn't get much worse than that (imo). Except for maybe the current manga arc. ![]()

You might as well just watch Rock Lee and His Amazing Friends or whatever the hell that spin off where he's the main character is called.

Ah, that was it.
It has been done. Dean and Chewin are going to be confused now

Edit: Considered necromancy, but then I realized the topic was locked.
Confused at what?
People look back and marvel at my intellect all the time. Why, just yesterday I shamed a multitude into awed admiration with my eloquence and humility. Such has been true for years, even if you are just now appreciating it years later.
This is actually quite the common occurrence, I assure you.

There's a spin off?
WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED?!?!
@Divo
Sounds promising. But I don't like villains doing stupid things (I'll tell you my evil plan then my trump card to totally convince you to help me out so I can continue with my evil plan instead of using just the trump card which would have probably convinced you far more than my totally evil plans) and the dropping of some plot points (if Reezy is correct.) Like I just mentioned. Tsunade's arc had Ocho-snake looking for her to fix his arms. But apparently he has a plan B. So now I'm hoping that this plan B is very inconvenient and a totaly b*tch to complete to actually justify his looking for Tsuande. And even then this Plan B was never foreshadowed, so it really feels like an ass-pull.

Hmm, you mind refreshing my memory on the specifics of the arc?
I do recall Orochimaru using a new body to reacquire his ability to perform jutsus, but I don't recall his exact plan with regards to his interactions with Tsunade. Though I think part of the reason why he admits his plans to her is that she already has a pretty good idea of how messed up he is, when her and Jiraiya were students.
That was a chick. Or Nine's gay.
My bad, I thought you meant Twelve.

He just wanted Tsunade to heal his arms. There wasn't much beyond that.

Well basically it went down like this.
Oro walked into town and the first thing he does is destroy and entire f*cking castle with that Snake thingy because it really looked like he needed a lift. (No sarcasm, the dude was in agony.)
So when he finally meets Tsunade he goes on about how he needs his arms. But not only THAT, he also reveals that he killed the Third Hokage and that he'll use his arms to destroy the Leaf Village.
Your entire 'trap' was to convince her through your means of resurrection/animation. Sure she doesn't know what the problems are, but simply stating that he can bring her loved ones back is enough. The arc goes into detail just how much they meant to her, and that's good.
But why tell her everything else? You have no reason to LIE but you have no reason to tell the truth either. All you are doing is presenting a moral dilemma when it would otherwise be avoided if he had simply kept his mouth shut.
Sure she'd suspect him. But ignorance is bliss, no? Allowing her the freedom of dilemma would have been enough to do it the next day.
He she was even going to do it AFTER that, but if it weren't for her hesitation it might have gone through.
All that says about Oro is that he's doing that for the sake of dielmma, he wants to torment her. Which is entirely in character but NOT at the same time since we're shown beforehand that he is capable of a certain level of cunning.

Kishimoto tier writing in all its glory.

It's a shame. Because there are things he does so right. The Third was one of them. And I especially like the world Naruto's based of (which makes me look forward to reading One Piece because I've heard its world building is one of its greatest strengths.)

See, this I'm kinda back and forth on. I do agree that given his situation, he probably shouldn't have been so cavalier about it.
On the other hand, I think just saying that Tsunade would have "suspected" isn't really giving her enough credit. She was a student working right along side Orochimaru and (if I recall correctly) it's pretty well-known among the people of Konoha that Orochimaru is a rogue ninja out for its destruction. Tsunade may not have known the specifics, but it would be pretty clear to her that whatever Orochimaru intended would inevitably lead to more death and destruction to follow.
Of course, given his Plan B method of getting his arms back, it is surprising that he did have to resort to using Tsunade anyway.
