@ Mad Hanar, Congrats on spoilin the show for someone . * Facepalm *

From now on if somebody puts spoilers then the spoilers need to be marked or color coded. Something like that.

How is fairy tail?

Now I feel like a jerk. How can I make it up to ya?

Also, even with that little tidbit of information there is still a lot to experience with that show. Trust me, it's not even the focal point of the series. What season are you on?

Well actually what episode are you on?

I think Arch was only episode 2? But yeah we all have to put spoiler marks. I've actually been spoiled when it came to bleach and cowboy bebop.

People have forgotten the ancient power of google and the wisdom of wikipedia?

But if you want minimal effort, then...
Steampunk is a genre or an aesthetic.

Key-words include Victorian, cogs, machinery, flying ships (woot) and steam.
edit: also, a sort of a wasteland setting is usual for it.

Well I finished Requiem for the phantom. Just watched the last episode twice. It kept me in and i do like the dark style of it but i dislike what they did with the ending.

I hate how writers leave endings open so the audience can... "  come up with their own interpretation "..Bull**** just tie up the loose ends and make it clear as to what happens.. ****

^^ The scrapped princess image was most fitting (and the only one I like from those tbh).

@Ragin_bull - well, mostly series build up frameworks from where to start "thinking those things up". Thus it isn't interpreting it as "whatever you like". If the frameworks are adequate then there aren't very many valid "answers" or theories.

I haven't seen Requiem for a dream, but I know for sure that for some messages authors want to convey, you cannot in fact be factually clear. For matters of "who did in who" and such, they can and should, but frankly, I find such factual stuff to be trivial. I wouldn't watch japanese animation if I'd want a perfectly onesided picture with simplistic and trivial "answers".

I didnt say anything about simplistic and trivial answers. If you want to leave an ending open, dark, or bittersweet; there is a way to do it properly. I've seen it done properly. If you want to mind**** the audience... there is a way to do it properly....I understood the messages throughout the series but it failed in execution in my opinion.

Yup, will need to see it myself to say anything, really. :P

Just that I can't think of very many series that would trigger a resentment towards a tendency of "not explaining the endings".

I don't mean blatantly explaining the endings like telling you what happened. What I mean is showing us and having us piece together what happened. ( Death Note, Darker than black, Elfen Lied )

Not leaving things " open " so the audience can "imagine" what happened. I dont like when there isnt any " real explanation " because we're supposed to.. " imagine it "

Aah, yeah, now I'm having this de ja vu feeling all over. :)

Sorry for the unpleasantries (if any). I don't mean them as such.

Anyways, Requiem hasn't been on my watch-list, yet I've definitely heard of it. I think I've skipped it for a reason.

Will watch it sometime though, if only for having at least 1 anime to list as "inappropriately explaining the ending". :P

edit: well, the more I'll get out of watching it - it'll be probable that I'll finally understand what you mean then.

I like it.

This lady...

Awesome.

She should have been the main character.

Anyway Fairy Tail is really bland.

Just now I'm watching the first of Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko.

Got acquainted with it from googling "denpa", as I saw some of my fave youtube/niconico music vids called by that name.

The series seems original enough though. It's nough darn humorous.

I hate the fact that Hulu only provides subbed episodes. I like dubs much, much more. Well, except for Bleach.

If you can get on Funimation's site, they have a lot of shows with the dub episodes up.
