Ok,
Archer >>>>>>> Emiya
Rin >>>>>> Saber
Frak that gender-bender cheap shot.
I think you meant to quote another poster, bro.
Ok,

Frak that gender-bender cheap shot.
For me it is more like:
Saber > Archer
Rin > Shiro
I heard Archer was a tool in the anime compared to his role in the Visual Novel and I wouldn't disagree. Hopefully he is better in UBW.
I like Gilgamesh.

Too true. Tears were shed, man.

Well it is certainly. And lol at Shinji and Yuki! I can totally see why some people will stop watching with protagonists like that. Thankfully Yuki develops and becomes more mature in the end, so I ended up liking him well enough. Shinji though I just can't stomach!
Only up to Episode 5 in Demon King and Hero, so hopefully the Hero develops as it goes along.
Oh that's as far as I got. I added a little to my post late to be more specific as to why, lol.
I agree about Yuki, though I could handle Shinji well enough too. In a way his is interesting because it's often more like a regression more than the usual growth/coming of age story, but you can totally understand why given the kind of **** he has to deal with. ![]()
You mean this?
I think I had to stop it when I found out that he straight up abandoned the girl for two straight years because 'adventure' even though he had teleportation magic and was actually coming home every night and secretly getting meals from the maid while he hid in a ****** broom closet or something.
Yeah, I also found that a complete "WTF!?" but apparently the reason why he does it b/c he feels completely useless since he is only good at fighting and has no knowledge in anything else that Demon King is trying to pursue (farming, politics, economy, etc), so Hero feels that the only thing he can do is fighting against which Demon King sent him to. It is a rather reasonable reason other than simply hiding from her just b/c, but don't really see why he couldn't jump in and say "Hi" from time to time. But then again, he doesn't know her at all, so it works I guess.

Well true, it is subjective on what one stomachs. I can understand why, but it just doesn't work for me.

K.. Isi, when you get here...
Explain wtf just happened at the tower.

Well, as mentioned, I'm rewatching "Oppai - The Anime" again. It's glorious.

Did you finish the perfect egg arc?
Well, as mentioned, I'm rewatching "Oppai - The Anime" again. It's glorious.
That could be like 5,000 different shows.
@ISI!
I haven't seen that side of him much, but I wouldn't be surprised. Another flaw that adds to his character. I freakin' love Griffith
Fair enough. Because it also seemed he was meant to die (Gatts that is.) However, outside forces did intercept with this plan. However, either way you look at it, the idea works. Intended or not, both sides further strengthen the theme of duality between Gatts and Griffith.
I never took his motives as power for power's sake. When I look at Griffith I see a little of Reinhard from LotGH.
Both characters share this dream of absolute change, but in order to bring it about, power is needed. Like the Eclipse, power is just a means to an end.
However, I've not yet come to what he wants with this dream. Does he seek a better world? Or a utopia meant only for him? Reinhard accomplishes his conquest of the galaxy and reforms it for the better, despite the millions that had to die in the process.
But what of Griffith? Coming back to him being 'childish' he didn't really care about the consequences. His choice was given to him but he didn't care. It could be argued that in his state, his mind didn't work as well, but I'd call that BS. He seemed perfectly aware of what was happening and the 'sacrifice' that had to be made.
Wrong? Yes, that's complicated.
I'm currently (but slowly) reading Game of Thrones and Philosophy. It deals with the books (despite its title) and by god is moral and ethical philosophy simply crazy. I have no idea how people go to university with that in mind. This sh*t is so deep, you could bury India in it.
There is simply so many points of views to look at we could be here for a 100 pages discussing whether Griffith was making a moral choice or not. Is the long term better than the short term consequences? Is Griffith's dream really worth human life? How much is human life worth?
Breaking down these issues and addressing them individually is not a task I could complete xD
Gatts reminds me so much of Geralt of Rivia it's not even funny. But there's something more to him that makes him that bit more tragic.
Chris once gave me a parallel between Breaking Bad and the Sopranos. How one is about a man heading from light to darkness and the other of a man trying to leave the darkness to turn to light.
Gatts really seems to be a man struggling with both. Obviously he is disturbed mentally, it's evident in almost everything the art represents. His blood-lust, his love to kill... but then again, he's a good man who's trying not to slip into his darker side but lives in a world where his good side won't let him survive.
Indeed. I called Berserk a horror story and I'm sticking to it. The imagery is grotesque, it's powerful and can put many people off. Rape, sex, torture, violence... unfortunately it might seem something the mangaka put there to look edgy, but hell no, it's far from it. Berserk really knows how to deal with all these things well and so far, I've seen some pretty f*cked up things and nothing has given me the impression of "omg this is stupid."
Sorry I should have to responded to this yesterday
I could make this much, MUCH longer but I need coffee first and to get my brain going before I start going into certain topics. Sorry again for not responding quicker. Let me know when you meet Shierke, because that part also brings another huge aspect of the story, or at least to Gatts characterization that you'll probably like.
@Rah
How far into Chihayafuru are you? Who are you rooting for in the romance? Who's your favorite character so far?

Did you finish the perfect egg arc?
Yeah, he's got "her" now and Scerpio is giving us a flashback now.
I got a few questions to ask you.

I have a few answers for you.
I actually really like the perfect egg arc, especially towards the end. The whole thing with the egg and the baby is... man just so awesome. If you want to talk about something completely unexpected happening that is a game changer, that moment is it.
So Ghost In the Shell is getting better now once they've reached the Laughing man case. So far it's been quite interesting and the characters within the team actually feel like they are part of a team with their jokes.
Chihayafuru i've gotten about 10 episodes into and it's really a show that start a bit slow but pick up in quality quite fast and who knew that watching Karuta could be so fascinating. That and the Karuta team really got characters worth getting to know!

*still waiting on Sims questions*
So Rah, who are you rooting for romance wise. Also who are your favorite characters overall so far?
And yeah I found Zero to be significantly better then Stay.

What's that?
I think you meant to quote another poster, bro.
Fixored.
Also, best part of Fate/Stay Night:
^ might wanna spoiler tag that just since the title of the video is a bit of a give away.
I mean you don't want to ruin the best part of the whole show do you? ![]()
Meh, Fate/Stay Night won't really get any better or worse whether it's spoiled or not. The only reason I'd recommend watching it to anyone is so that they'd be able to enjoy Carnival Phantasm afterwards.

We warned you!
WE TOLD YOU!
BAKA!
Well, at least you have Zero now ![]()
Which has, like, the best first episode ever! Full of intrigue and such.
On a completely different note.
I dare you to watch Anohana
*evil giggle*
@Isi
Once I'm done bingin' some more Berserk I'll get right to you. This arc is going direction I loooove. MOAR GRIFFITH!
