SAO was decent today, though the ending was probably the highlight.
Irregular at Magic High School was extremely lackluster, especially for a season finale. The only good parts were the battles, otherwise it was extremely boring.

Well, with SAO 2 I'm disappointed they decided to return to the pervert angle on SAO 1.5.
As for Irregular, Tatsuya just dematerialized an entire fleet single-handedly. How is that boring? Granted, there was a long scene where her sister explains Regrowth and we don't get to see a lot about the aftermath.

You misunderstood. All the battle stuff was fine. Tatsuya blowing crap up was great. I just didn't get what I had expected for a season finale.

Yeah, the action's usually always top-notch. A pity they didn't advance the story with their aunt at all.

So Barakamon was a pretty great anime too. I put it there with Nozaki kun as both very solid summer comedy anime. Barakamon has a rural slice of life setting which is a bit more unique than the usual high school stuff you see. (I know there are a few others like Non Non Biyori which I also intend to watch)
The overall message I got from it was also very nice, this is gonna sound sappy but I feel... better for having watched it, lol. Take that as you will.
Oh, Barakamon also had the best shitty obligatory beach episode I've seen in an anime, because it wasn't actually one of those at all.
(heh, the automatic censoring system on this site seems a little inconsistent, doesn't it?)

I was trying to read the manga before I continued with that but the fact that there's multiple manga after you're through with the first one caused me to stop reading. Didn't want to deal with the confusion of remembering what manga I'm supposed to read. I should just watch that.

So Rah, who are you rooting for romance wise. Also who are your favorite characters overall so far?
And yeah I found Zero to be significantly better then Stay.
Out of Arata and Taichi I'm more leaning towards Taichi at the moment but given that there're so many episodes left to watch I'm all for seeing exactly what Arata would be able to oull out, he got the mystic going for him. Usually I'm not that fast to like characters that are like Taichi but he just work so insanely well with Chihaya at the moment.
Favorite character so far, that's a hard one to be honest. Chihaya is an absolutely brilliant protagonist but I'm also going to mention Kanade Oe. She's just too damn adorable and while she's only been around for a few episodes I already like her. Also Porky!
