Eh, might watch it then whenevr I have nothing better to watch.
Seen first 5 episodes of Chaika. I am certainly enjoying it. It is quite lighthearted and I am enjoying the characters.

Haha! Yeah, Chaika is certainly cute. And her way of talking just helps with that. But I must admit, I might have enjoyed the "Red Chaika" a bit more, but that is mostly due to me liking people who are more head strong and independent in their way and behavior. Though still, White Chaika is just as cute in her own way.

Yeah there is a lot of *ahem* questionable camera angles.

I expect stuff like that in a show like KLK but those questionable camera angles that linger in more serious toned shows frustrate me just a little. Still like the character design though.

Like Nui?
NUI DID NOTHING WRONG!
She's just missunderstood.. yes that's it! ![]()
Just wait until you watch Season 2. I'm finding some of what I'm witnessing hard to believe. As in, how did an editor see this and give it the green light to be published?
I've held off on watching SAO for a while now because I just can't shake this feeling that it's style over substance and most of what people say seem to reinforce that. I would like to eventually give it a try so I can come to a more solid conclusion but I just get the impression it could end up annoying me.
Trust in me that trust in you to NOT watch SAO unless it's the only way to get.. more PMMM content or something of that importance.
Also lets add some Chaika to this post. Chaika. Good. Yes

I have no reservations to recommend watching SAO, at the very least the Aincrad arc (first half of SAO). That one is pretty good. From there on it's definately not as good, but you may still like it. The point is, you won't find out until you've tried.

@Chewin
YUS! I knew you would enjoy it! Told ya it was good!
Great review as always, and looking forward to you writing more. And yes, the relationship with Saber and her Masters is very intriguing and both bring a similar but vastly different approach to it. Hence why I really love Saber, Kiritsugu and Shirou. Will be interesting how it will develop with Unlimited Blade Works coming, and yes, hopefully it is better. Though one aspect has me worried.
Also lets add some Chaika to this post. Chaika. Good. Yes
CUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!!
Only have 3 episodes left and then the weekly waiting begins with Season 2. Bah!
@Fidite
I get the feeling SAO was written by a complete another studio with how different it was. Still, I enjoyed it for what it was, but that made me give SAO a 6/10 instead of a 8/10 that I was initially gonna give it.

I doubt if I write a wall of text praising One Piece season 1 for its awesome protagonists, villains, adventures, devil powers and exotic creatures, anyone will give a damn, right?

Actually I could see a few people here enjoying that quite a bit, myself included as long as I don't need to have actually seen it to understand what your saying.

Go for it. It has been years since I last watched One Piece so my memory is very fussy about most events. Wouldn't mind some recollection.

Finished The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Well I enjoyed it. It had fun characters, some great moments, I laughed a lot and Haruhi was just amazing. The narrative was a bit weird and the finale was...disappointing. Luckily I discovered there are more to watch since had that been the ending I would have been angry as hell. OK, Endless Eight next!

Posté 01 octobre 2014 - 05:03
Warning. I haven't watched it yet but apparently endless 8 is one of the most notoriously awful arcs in anime.

Thanks for the heads up. A bit shame if the anime goes complete downhill from here on. Was enjoying it for what it was. Well nothing ventured nothing gained!

So finished Fate/Zero.
Spoiler
You certainly are good at analysing stuff, Chewin. The part about how well Zero serves as a prequel made me like Fate Stay Night even more. Hopefully UBW manages to portray this even in a more proper fashion, which I believe it will since it is ufotable after all and their works have been rather solid as of late.
@CrazyRah Sounds good to me. Will add it to the list after I have finished Haruhi.
