ETA: I think I might have mumbled before about how even though the dub for NGE isn't exactly perfect, I'm terribly fond of it because that's how I originally watched both the series and EoE (hence why I have a hard time hearing anyone other than Tiffany voice Asuka for example, because she does it perfectly imho). Sooo, with doing as I said I would and looking into the Rebuild dubs, it makes me incredibly happy to see that they got a bunch of the original cast back. A bit bummed to see that Amanda Winn Lee isn't voicing Rei this time around and the woman they got to voice Ritsuko does sound close enough to pass for Sue Ulu so no problems there. It's like getting hit with a wonderful little nostalgia beam to have Tiffany, Spike and Allison (Misato) back. :')

Hard to say. PMMM quality is pretty damn rare as far as I'm concerned. I can count the anime's on one hand I think are even remotely close to that quality but anyone who's been here for long knows I'm pretty damn biased.
We do got Psycho Pass S2 and the new Fate/stay coming soon. Both of those should be worth keeping an eye on at least.
I was tempted by Psycho Pass numerous times but I don't know.. just kinda looked violent without a lot else going on...
I'm very curious about this Studio Ghibli anime. I didn't expect to see something like that on the list for the fall season.

I can't speak for Psycho Pass, but I can for Berserk. At first glance you'd think Berserk is just that. A violent manga filled with sex, rape and gore just for the heck of it. But it's not. F*****ckkkk it's no where near that.
So I'd say don't let face-value be your judgement for anime/manga games and so on.

It's interesting though, sex, rape, and gore aren't even murder or killing, technically. I think of gothic fantasy as notable for how non-violent it is, the emphasis on characters and stuff like that. Game of Thrones is scary because you actually kind of like those characters, not about the wars etc as much. The pivotal moment in the series is <Spoilers> just plain sex. The most horrifying moment of the Eclipse is forceful sex.
I'm convinced sex is more powerful and destructive than violence, the frequent cause of wars, etc.
Of course you are just talking about trailers vs looking at the whole series etc, I guess I just wanted to talk about Berserk again.
