Don't get me wrong. This chapter made me very happy. Beautiful art as always, and it's something I was interested in seeing. The first half was a bit meh with the silly tea party but that 2nd half was damned satisfying.

Yep, been reading this series for 8 years now.

 

The Berserk updates are actually more frequent and consistent than i expected but Mura only started getting pissy with the series back in 09. He put Berserk on Hiatus to play Idolmaster  . I **** you not guys, google it.

Been "reading" for about 6-7 years myself. I heard that too, though I also think he was pretty upset at the piracy as well, but I don't know how much that actually played into the break. All I know is it was painful and I spent every week trying to find out when it would return for a freaking year. Why must this series toy with my emotions so?

I'll still take 1 chapter of Berserk over 50 chapters of Naruto and Bleach any day

 

Where Sasuke has me groaning at his terrible reasoning, Rickert had me wanting to applaud his actions and development.

Yeah, heard about the piracy fiasco too but Berserk sells pretty well in Japan, it sold over 33 million worldwide, 26mil in Japan alone. Over the course of 38 volumes thats pretty good, great actually.

Most definitely. Dont mind my avatar, im only using it cause it looks cool(Naruto actually looks cool for once although he is older here) but Bleach and especially Naruto are complete crap. Kishi somehow managed to ruin his series over the course of one arc *smh. The only reason im still reading it is because of Sauce/Lelouch(the best character of the series.......yes im serious). I gave up on bleach a year ago though.

FMA is really good if you haven't already seen Brotherhood.

 

I also really liked Akira but I'm not entirely sure whether you'd like it or not.

Vagabond and Kingdom(these series are pretty long). Or FMA if havent you watched Brotherhood.

Only reason I continue to read Naruto is it was a defining part of my childhood and I want a satisfying conclusion. This last arc has brought my opinion of the series down farther then it should have. Asspulls. Asspulls everywhere.

 

For Bleach I only read it because it's funny to watch something try so hard and yet fail so terribly.
