I need to get around reading the Heroic Legend of Arslan. It's a manga based on the novel written by the dude who wrote Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
So if it's from the same dude... hopefully it's just as good.

Arsalan is a Persian name. Ecbatana is the capital of Medes. Atropatene is somewhere in Old Persia too. (this manga seems interesting)

So the first episode of S2 of log horizon is pretty solid. It seems like we may be getting a bigger focus on economics this time around. Now to watch the latest episode of SAO. (the fact that these are running in conjunction amuses me greatly)

Yes yes it is. I was kinda hoping for a new song but I suppose it's fine sticking to the old great one. Anyways new SAO was pretty good. Madan no Ou to Vanadis the interaction between the two main characters is nice but beyond that it's a rather generic and overly fanservicey don't bother with it, Ushinawareta Mirai o Motomete is weird will wait and see on this one.

Franken Fran also has a chapter of a man who is really old and actually saw Jesus Christ in person.
And I believe the chapter right after that one had the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Log Horizon start of with a good first episode that really feel like the Log I liked from the first season and right out of the gate issues arise and things get moving. No slow start here!

The art is meh. Kind of plain.
Don't know why it's so popular.
One Piece is 100x better from what I've seen of the art.
I think it was well written or something. At least at first. I dunno i've never read the thing. Isi you've read it right? or was it Rah?

But from it's latest chapters it looks like the quality hasn't gone up at all.

If the story is sh*t but the art's great then it balances things out. But if both things are plain as bread then how the hell does it sell?

The same reason I still play assassins creed. I've been with it for so long I can't just abandon it now.

The first episode of the F/SN remake is up. Felt I should mention it for those who aren't lazy like me and have actually watched fate/zero.
Tonights episode of SAO2/GGO was actually.. good. Not amazing or anything like that but just above average, not bad, enjoyable for the most part. Now with the phantom bullet arc done it is supposed to reach the arc I've been waiting for rather soon. Might be one arc before it though. Hopefully they'll not screw it up completely!
It means more Asuna...Which is nice....

It's one lengthy episode for sure! Might not have the time to watch it tonight but will have seen it before the weekend is over for certain. Need to continue one Ghost in the Shell and finish up the first season of Chihayafuru. So much anime today!

Speaking of GitS I do hope the complex episodes come up again. I'm feeling what Chewin and you felt, bro. Though I do enjoy them, I just want the LM case to come up again because I remember how awesome it is.

Yeah, One Piece art is actually genuinely better than Bleach, at least on a technical level. Kubo barely draws backgrounds at all, his designs are very simplistic (sometimes he strikes gold but still), his panels are huge and uneventful, and he seems to only use hatching to slap huge flat shadows on characters or further half-ass the environments with overuse of speedlines.
Oda on the other hand will actually try to make his characters seem just a bit 3-dimensional and does good shadows whenever his panels aren't too tiny to notice detail on. His main problem is trying to pack too much stuff into his chapters so the anime can keep a 1:1 chapter-to-episode progression without huge amounts of filler. So his action scenes can be quite hard to follow at times. Also his female character designs... unless Oda creates a male character first and then genderbends it, they all look the ****** same!
