The other friend that's working on it right now hasn't really mentioned whether it's handled well or not but I'll probably shoot her a message soon to get a better idea on if it gets all tied up properly and such. I find it kind of adorable that within a little handful of friends (here and elsewhere) we pit a lot of things against GitS to see if it's handled well.

I've been a bit too sleepy to chime in but I'm happy to see the love for 2nd Gig. It's been a long time since I watched both seasons but I remember preferring it to the first season personally.

As for comedy for dummies or any potential further ideas of yours, I suggest you rather read the website rules first and give special attention to the first and foremost one. After you did that, you can then read said comedy for dummies and pay some attention to its chapter "do not insult your audience". Then you may send it to me.

Soooo I started back up on Ergo Proxy, kinda had it on backburner for a few other time sinks. While the story/atmosphere definitely has a Deus Ex/GitS thing going on, the art style has a very pale, artificial look to it. Not that's a bad thing, I definitely like eet and it certainly fits with that kind of Sci-Fi. Lots of Slow Motion Effects.

Currently at the end of Episode 2.

But aaaaaanyway, I've been reading this manga called Mill recently, and it's quite nice. "Your old cat turns into a high school girl" is a pretty old trope already, but Mill does it a bit different by having the cat be really old, and old-fashioned in a lot of ways that show in her behaviour. Not only that, but the human form isn't super-attractive (this is a plus for me) and in fact has some peculiar feline features, and at this moment (chapter 6 out of 48) there really isn't any romantic tension between protagonist and the "bakeneko", as Mill the cat is called. They have cat&owner relationship at times, sometimes sort of grandmother&grandson

Who cares about Vincent? Ril (Re-L, Rilu or whatever variation various subbers/dubbers came up with) is why you watch the show. Her reactions to some of the later mindscrews are borderline "only sane one left" territory. I remember that one quizshow episode. It was glorious!
