Moving on...  I am getting ready to watch Amagi Brilliant Park as I have read good things about it and in addition to that I am going to check out Gundam Build Fighters Try (I am a huge Gundam fan, I've seen most of the different anime).

That's it, I am adding Darker than Black to the list. I just finished the first episode and I thought that it was good, it was certainly different from what I expected from what little I knew of it. Amagi Park is interesting for sure!

Yeah I'm 8 episodes in and it's definitely good.

 

Not as good as SAC. But you can't compare things to another. It's stupid. And I'm stupid for being stupid.

 

But yeah, it's very good.

 

Want to see how it all wraps up.

I just finished the second episode of Amagi Park and the first episode of Gundam Build Fighters Try, both were great. I can't wait to see more of both, it disappoints me that both series are just starting instead of being finished so that I can watch them all  :lol:

As for DTB, I gotta say, it's dub is at FMAB's level, and that's hard to find. And it's BONES again, so I guess Funimation or whoever just love to give BONES anime good dubs.

It is a sequel series to Gundam Build Fighters, I recommend that you watch Build Fighters first, but I think you could watch Try and be fine. 

 

Is DTB finished? If so, I might go ahead and start on it (I'd hate to have a bunch of different series going at once).

DtB is finished and season 2 is not optional. :|

 

But watch the 4 OVA episodes before season 2, it'll make season 2 make a lot more sense and not be so jarring. Season 2 is good aside from that.

Maybe, or maybe not. I used to have a hard time following GitS before, but I grew accustomed to it this time.

 

I'll give it a try though.

 

Mary voices Motoko again, and I hope the same VAs go for Aramaki and Batuo for the dub.

 

Change Batuo and you can bet all you want but I ain't watching Ghost without Batuo's English VA.

To clarify. GitS is hard to follow, it's a general rule to the show for some reason. I think because things go waaay fast. Take for example, the 1995 movie.

 

In the start the programmer responsible for the AI mentions a project 2501. This programmer isn't mentioned until an hour later until LOTS of things happen. You need both a good memory and attention span for it.

 

Both which I've got... somewhat. I switch it on for GitS.

 

Then again, it's not because it stands on some higher plane than other well written anime. LOTGH is just as complex (albeit for different reasons and can't be compared on anything other than quality) but is far easier to follow.

 

The philosophy points aren't really the parts that confuse me. It's more the names and how they get juggled around as well as the acronyms used for organisations that get mentioned once in full.

Oh and I also found this Ghost in the Shell mod for Shadowrun Returns.
