Even Chrunchyroll(which has pretty dam good translators and is normally what kissanime also uses) sometimes makes amusing mistakes in the subtitles.

Robert McCollum is probably the main reason why I'm enjoying Psycho-Pass's dub. Dude has an epic voice and he seems to have a habit of voicing the calm, cool, and collected type of characters. Just realized he voiced Shinobu Sensui in Yu Yu Hakusho. I always liked that guy.
Who voices Akane in the dub?

Kate Oxley. She voices one of my favorite characters in Darker Than Black, Misaki Kirihara.

Reezy, since you're here should I watch the OVAs before or after the second season? Because that's some character change on Hei's part.
The only question I should ask is concerning Suo's (sort of) inconsistency.

Nah Chihayafuru isn't too emotional, not in the same way Clannad or Anohana is. Definitely still worth taking a look at just as a reminder of how a show properly characterizes it's side characters. Also the sport is surprisingly enjoyable to watch and that's coming from someone who normally hates watching sports.

I don't like it when the sub swears when the Japanese isn't. Same with manga translations.
But it actually fits better.
There's only so many times a shounen can say "bastard" without it going dry.
It's funny when you know what they're saying but the subs is saying something different. But it's Japanese so I can be wrong. Gintama can read as "Silver Soul" or "Silver Balls" xD
A lot of the time translators use swears like that because it fits the context.
Whenever you get around to One Piece and you see Luffy's line of "I am going to kick that guy's ass!" it more or less is "I am going to send that guy flying!" if you want a more direct translation. Same meaning really but it does not have the same oomph or natural sound to the English speakers and again it fits better in the context of Luffy is going to kick that guy's ass.
Still like Reezy said sh!tty fan translators who don't understand Japanese at all will put in words like "F**k" to be more edgy.
Only use the F-word when the Japanese themselves actually use the word. You can also use it after a Shinji F-A-P scene. That's the best time to use it actually.

Good. Because if it's also a romance then I'm onto that like... like something is to something!

Sure, that's why I said it fits better sometimes.
Like my FMA manga has "AL YOU STUPID BROTHERRRRRRR" when Al transmutes his soul for Ed's body.
It's a lot better when it's "AL YOU DUMBASSSS." Fits Edward a lot better.
Also Bakuman when Mashiro said "DON'T F*CK WITH ME" fit the scene a lot more than if he said mess. He's like 22 then man, who the hell says "mess" at 22? xD
But yeah, I also hate it when they do it for the sake of it.

Oh yeah definitely a romance. It's mainly a sports/romance although I personally think the romance aspect is handled a bit differently then animes normally handle it (in a good way) There's a love triangle but It's not complete ****.

Yeah, when it comes to the f-bomb, if it was not there in the first place, don't use it. There are better words to use to get the point across.

Good. None of that PJ crap ><
Speaking of PJ, apparently it was the Studio who wanted a romance. I don't know if that was PJ's decision or not.
In the end, it was still sh*tty.
Best swear was in the outake during the Father fight.

Haha! xD
I watched them, they're frickin' hilarious ![]()
Especially the final episode where Al and Ed are on the roof talking
....
"You thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Yeah... let's bring mum back."
Shinji's F-A-P scene really needed the f-bomb tho.
It always makes me laugh.
It's something I would say.
Then proceed a second time.

Spoiler
Watch the OVAs before Season 2. It follows after the first season chronologically. Suou might just be like Hei in regards to her particular emotional state. That's how I always looked at it. I don't know how but she does retain that typical sense of humanity.

Might stop there just to watch the OVAs.
So far though, I don't see what's so terrible about it.

Good thing for you I'm gonna start them OVAs now.
As for the terrible thing. I just heard a lot of crap.
Might be people p*ssed off about some minor thing. I dunno.
I like it though.
Ah sh*t, just found out Gaiden isn't dubbed. Well time to hear Hei's sexy voice in Japanese then.

Saw the first episode and it's perfect that I left it just then at season 2, it acts kind of like a flashback arc.
So...

I always thought people hated DTB Season 2 because Hei was thrown out of the limelight a bit for Suou. That never soured my experience of it. Wasn't as good as Season 1 but it's not wack by any means.
