Remember he took that power up pill that killed him?
Remember how Kishimoto is Kishimoto and "Don't use it, it'll kill you!" only applies half the time?

Got to the half way point of Psycho-Pass. Akane, Akane, Akane... Now with that horribly traumatic experience on your shoulders hopefully you'll begin to recognize the dystopian society in which you live. The system failed you. I find various comments about episode 11 complaining about Akane's lack of action pretty f*cking hilarious. It's easy to say what you would or should do in any situation when you're on the sidelines, passively observing.

Is that the event after the hunting game?
I'd say she messed up pretty badly. I get that social conditioning played a large role in that but I still don't think she could have made a worse choice there.
I actually started rooting for the villain more after that point, even he was disappointed in Akane.
Oh she messed up, no doubt about it, but it's more people outright bash her or act like badasses going I WOULD NOT HAVE DONE that or outright miss the two big points of that scene that ****** me off. Also that event had to happen to Akane so she becomes the woman she becomes later. Like Ko, she needed a trigger. That was it.
It would have been pretty funny if she accidentally shot her friend though. Which would have been the most likely outcome if she had decided to shoot.
Chaika has really started the second season of rather well with another solid episode that continued on the more rapid pace that the first episode set. Quite a few players moving around in the show right now and they will be bound to run into each other very shortly

Chaika awesome. Want more Chaika. Can't wait for next week. Lots of Chaika!

I don't know. Her character is at fault, and yet it isn't (that probably doesn't make sense to anyone but me). Like, I get it. I get her. But I think her inaction neeed to cost her heavily for her to grow (assuming she learns from this).
More Chaika today? Damn it why do I always forget these things?! I'll go watch it now.

I'm glad Akane isn't just an ultra badass who isn't weak and doesn't make any mistakes or do anything she might regret. For someone raised in a society and trained in a police force that defers all judgment to Sibyl, suddenly having to make that judgment for yourself is surely harder than any armchair hero would like to admit.

I needed 3-4 weeks before the summer schedule really stuck with me. So far been lucky that almost half the shows I watch this season are on saturday and sunday so not that many shows to forget about right now. Well.. I did kinda forget Inou-Battle and was suprised to see it last night but that's not important ![]()

Yeah, its the way society has conditioned people. I'd say the majority of people would have made the same choice. Kogami and Masaoka would have just blasted the dude but they are the exceptions and outside the norm themselves. Plus, its obvious she had never held an actual firearm before. I was still yelling at her to ****** shoot though. LOL.
My memory sucks. Hell I still need to watch amagi brilliant park because I forgot all about it.
Well I think a lot of people really downplay how much social conditioning came into play and just how much she trusted the system.
Overall I agree with you, though I admit I was pretty annoyed with her myself.
I was at first but I then looked at the scene and it became clear, also remember that Akane was VERY dependent on technology and the system. To be put in a situation like that where everything she knows and depends on is invalid, anyone like that will make a stupid mistake. It was this event that changed her and made her into the Akane we now know. That's what we do when we mistakes, we learn from it(even big blunders like what she did) and grow. She's human afterall ![]()

Ko and Masaoka are awesome, that's why ![]()
So new Chiaka. I feel that at one point everything is going to go down at once.
Episode 2 of Parasyte the Maxim is out!
Based Madhouse. Penis arm confirmed.
Migi is awesome but this scene creeped the hell out of me.
Damn, the animation was flawless in this scene. Madhouse even went as far to animate the feathers being torn from the jacket this dude was wearing as he got sliced up. Amazing.
Great episode, great adaption, the relationship between Migi and Shinichi is fantastic. Madhouse is the best, hands down.
PENIS ARMS ARE BACK
I don't buy the whole "brain is still developing" crap since Suo's brother doesn't seem to have a problem with being rational and her buddy Tanya too. Tanya does look a little older, but I think that's just puberty and her huge t*ts since they're in the same class together.
I think the association is in reverse. ![]()
Contractors being completely rational -->Contractors being more emotional.
That's why Amber/Bai start off as cold-blooded killing machines but eventually start developing friendships/bonds with others, similar to how the dolls begin as practically lifeless but start demonstrating feelings/emotions in subtle ways. That's actually what initiates the Heaven's Gate controversy.

Ah, Episode 11. That's the one that cemented Psycho Pass in my top 3 anime list. People talk about Episode 16 being amazing, but I just love how Makishima is developed in that situation. He's a completely messed up psychopath, but actually has a sympathetic goal.
I didn't even realize that people spend so much time shitting on Akane, which is a shame. She's a great character (imo).

Absolutely this, times a million.
I'm loving Akane in serason 2, only if it's just one episode there change, but you can still see she's still herself and I love that. I love Gens protags, they always feel "human" and real.
