Too many spoilers to put spoiler tags everywhere, it would be a right mess.
Naw, LCL creating humans being the blood of Eve/Adam err...? There's a lot more to it than is initially said.
Yeah, it's the blood of
Lilith and also some primordial ooze from which was made humanity, you don't need to play the game to find that out?
And when I meant "the Japanese" I directing this more towards the FF series that sometimes pulls this sh*t off and it p*sses me off to no end. Like Tifa ending up in Cloud's subconscious...how? But that's not even it, more like the different freaking DIMENSIONS they end up in that make no sense what's so ever seeing as they were somewhere else before.
But I still love FF, so hey. It can't bother me that much.
But don't twist it to make it sound like I was taking a sh*t on them. That's not cool, Puddi.
It was a stupid comment to throw in like that, you should be happy I only twisted it to make a dumb JoJo joke. If I took it seriously I wouldn't have twisted it, nor would I have been so kind.
So how did Hei end up in some vortex and how did Yin pull him out of there? Was it metaphorical? Or was it actually happening? This is Season One by the way, which is a lot less than what Season 2 pulled.
It was just a transition between whatever metaphysical realm he was in and reality. How did he get to that realm to begin with? I don't remember, something about the gate magic and Hei's special powers probably. Same thing that let the other guy blast off in his cartoon rocket ship in an earlier episode.
Hei's depression obviously stemmed from Yin's disappearance, and you didn't need the OVAs to tell you that. It wasn't jarring, it was intriguing.
The fact that they skip from the end of season 1 to where she's already disappeared and he's already a drunk is what's jarring. If they were gonna animate the whole transition anyway, there's no point leaving it to cryptic flashbacks. It also helps understand better what happened to Yin, if not the how or why.
Sorry to snip all your philosophizing about HOW MAGIC SHOULD BE, but you sure use a lot of words to say Yin's evolution was an asspull. I don't really disagree, but I don't think it ruins all the magic just because her evolution was inadequately explored. Personally that was only part of the reason season 2's ending bothered me.
