The black rock shooter comparison is lost on me.

 

There's a mysterious alter world and some mysterious girls with some kind of connection to the characters. Some of the characters are also similar personality wise.

So I finished going through Tiger & Bunny (Because I can marathon shows like its nobodies bushiness).

Loved it.

Lol Psycho-Pass 2? I watched episode 1 and was like, "Oh boy..."

 

I find her real first impression (the end of Season 1 doesn't count to me) being the complete opposite of Akane pretty hilarious. Like, Akane gave off an air of respectfulness along with her obvious naivete. And even as she goes along and becomes more accustomed to the job that respect never goes anywhere. This Mika girl seems stuck up and acts like she's above the things she gets saddled with. Like when Akane told her to evacuate the civilians in the mall or wherever she's like, "Why do I have to do this?" with the clearest attitude.

What I like is how ep 1 of season 2 mirros ep 1 of season 1 alot with Akane and Gino doing alot of similar things the two best enforcers did

 

But yeah, the crap Mika told Gino in ep 2? Really pissed me off, she had no right to say that to him as she has no clue what him and Akane went through during the Shogo case. Someone needs to brief this child.

The new One Piece chapter is a good read. Some info was given about the family of D and their relation to the Tenryuubito, Vergo being the former Corazon is wtf along with Rosinante being a double agent for the WG. Rosinante's a funny dude and he's got a lot of heart. So far he's appeared in a few chapters, and i like the character already.

Mizusawa did in the end win the team tournament and that with an injured Chihaya, Nishida with a bit of a broken confidence and Mashima with his lack of realising how good he actually is. That's a miracle win if there's any and how it all developed was excellent. That Chihaya still won with a bit of margin and then leaving it to Nishida and Mashima lended the episode a lot of quality. Chihaya winning with the last card and such would've been the cheesiest and more unimaginative way possible and I'm pleased to see that the show didn't go that route and I assume the original material didn't either. Mizusawa winning is entierly plausible and I couldn't stop smiling when Mashima told what card he sent so Nishida could synch with him. It's genius and exactly something Mashima would take away from the painful final defeat in the regionals. He's a true captain and while Chihaya dragged them all to victory at least as much is thanks to Mashima and him not for this time giving up and going all in. 

Now give me more Shinobu, I demand more Shinobu, Shinobu is life!

 

Also Arata if you ever say team games doesn't matter I'll smack you!

The team matches were absolutely fantastic and really kept me engaged the whole time. I too really like that not every match comes down to Chihaya which would be incredibly cheesy and a bit below what this show is capable of. The one match where Desktomu wins at the end was one of my favorite moments in season 2, and I'm glad that everyone felt like they had their moments without it just feeling like the show is forcing development on them. They all develop at different rates and deal with their own unique issues, and well Chihaya is the heart of the team, they wouldn't have been able to make it that far without all of them. I'm glad that we are starting to see the new players develop more and actually become decent players capable of holding their own at the competitive level.

 

I actually have to think about whether I like Mashima or Shinobu more because I adore both characters to death. I'd probably slightly lean towards Mashima because I think he is an incredibly well written and executed character but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for Shinobu too. For Mashima I do think he's a great captain and just a pretty decent person in general, even if he does make mistakes.

 

Also I second your demand for more Shinobu!

It's really true what was said a few times so far this season that it's the clubs and the team matches that bring new blood into the Karuta world and therefore they are absolutely vital! We got to see Desktomu winning a vital game. We got to see Chihaya being the burning passion that she's always been and this time making everyone gain from it. We got to see Mashima grow 5 sizes and mature an insane amount and I'd say free himself from his "curse". We got to see Nishida redeem himself and regain confidence. We got to see Oe actually playing high quality Karuta. We got to see Tsukuba being the weird him but learning, adapting. We got to see Sumire.. care about karuta! This tournament meant the world to everyone and it's going to be awesome to see what it means for everyone, especially everyone that's not injured in the invidivual tournament.

 

I'll shockingly go with Shinobu. I know that must've rocked the world! Mashima keep growing on me and he's one of the best male characters I've had the pleasure to follow in quite a while. Shinobu speak to the crazy sarcastic Rah, can't say no to someone that does that!

oooooh I was debating posting 2 gifs because I really like that one of Shinobu you just posted too, but it looks like it wasn't necessary

 

She's a very close 2nd for me. There's a lot I really like about her. For one she's a total introvert, which I have a big soft spot for, and I'm glad that we get to see what goes on inside her head since many of the other characters really don't understand her all that well save for maybe Arata. The only true friend Shinobu has ever had (or at least the only one she felt she had) is Karuta and as a result she has formed a bond with the game itself in a way very few people can understand, which is what makes her friendship (for lack of a better word) with Chihaya so emotionally satisfying. Despite the 2 being rivals they connect in a way that even throws Shinobu off-guard which is no doubt in large part due to their shared love for the game itself. There's something pleasing about watching her go into total snark mode which has always put others at a distance only to get surprised by Chihaya actually being able to constantly connect with her. I hope to see more of these 2 together next season as well.

Could be your mind is shutting down to prevent it. Or maybe you were spoilered too much and had enough dots to connect. Because I'm one of the sort that had little to no trouble following GitS at the first time, but my mind went blank at a couple points during Ergo Proxy.

 

 

 

Indeed, and point stands. She's not anybody. I'm gonna laugh if her psycho pass raises out of the regulated area by the end of this and she gets demoted to enforcer, if that. It couldn't happen to a nicer person at this point.
