I started watching this Yuki Yuna thing, but tbh I was just expecting a slice of life with some supernatural elements. It's actually a magical girl anime. And I kinda get some Madoka vibes, actually, with some of the surreal stuff going on, with the enemies they fight, and how and where they fight them... but let's not let me get ahead of myself, it seems much too light hearted to go in that direction. Still not a bad start, and light hearted could be cool too. The humor's been pretty good.

Also one of the girls is disabled, and apparently that's a big deal from when I was browsing for this image on tumblr. I did think that was kind of neat. Some weird fanservice on her and I don't think her legs would be that nice tbh, but I'm not an expert on muscle atrophy in paraplegics.

Oh yeah, it has only been two episodes. I know well enough about being let down by first impressions. Still hoping it'll be good though. I don't really agree with the whole "have no expectations so you'll never be disappointed" thing.

Thoughts on FSN 2014:

- visuals are nice.

- Rin and that other girl (that called Shirou senpai) act cringeworthy at times. The over-the-top tsundere act for Rin and the over-the-top shyness act of the other girl.

- I don't like Saber. Never did. not only because of the unncessary gender-bending, but also because she looks 15. She was supposed to be king Arthur.. Apparently Arthur fought in wars, conquered lands and build Camelot immediately out of the crib.

I know why they did it tough - they needed another potential love interest. God forbid she was older.

Definition will vary from one person to the next, but generally I consider it someone in a piece of media that you would want in a long term relationship, compared to someone that'd you'd want in your bed.

I don't take it seriously though, not as much as most do. Though I have a tendency to become defensive as hell about them, because they are my favorite characters of said media.

There are many millitary leaders who were young back then. Look up Okita Soji or Henry IV... ****, look up Octavian. He was like, 18 when he began doing sh*t. And here I am, 18, and picking my arse for treasure.

 

The medieval ages didn't have a defined definition of 'childhood.' Kids had to grow up a lot faster.

 

Good for me I can remain 12 until I'm 44.

 

As for Gender bending... err... no. Just no. It's not 'unnecessary' it's really just a twist at the Arthurian Legend. It WOULD be unnecessary if she were a badly written character and meant for the sole purpose of fanservice. But she's as un-fanservice as an anime chick can be.

 

I mean, look at her armour.

This morning I've been watching several PMMM videos on youtube.

It's one worth a re-watch. I'm on One Piece, episode 666. The weirdness and action are pretty high, cool character designs. No way I'd watch all of them, but I may as well check out one.
