Yeah, that wouldn't be too far from my face while watching this episode. These battles just keep getting better and better as we go along. Clearly, so many aspects were taken into account and executed in a superb fashion. What I especially liked about the episode how it took small level of strategy into it. I liked how Rin immediately started to analyze the situation they found themselves in, giving Archer a supporting role while Saber went head on in and even Rin herself having an active role in the fight, trying to find a weak spot whenever she could. All three were simply badass and it was visually stunning in so many levels.
I am glad that they showed how desperate and feeble Shirou truly was during the whole battle. His whole reaction is understandable, he can do nothing and it frustrates him to no end. It was a primary point that the show needed to showcase, without turning Shirou into a chivalrous idiot, and I am pleased it was executed properly.
Nice to see Archer given some proper action for once, it was seriously lacking in Deen's version. Saber was awesome, as always, and I loved how she didn't simply try to fight Berserker head on and rely on Archer for support. No, she noticed her disadvantage fighting Berserker head on on an open field and moved her location to a more suitable environment where she can have an edge. This is how the battles are supposed to be. Not simply who has the biggest power level, but to use methods to gain an upper hand. Glorious!
UBW is certainly turning out great. Ufotable delivers!
