Indeed, and I expect this might end up being the case as well in UBW (unless it varies greatly with the ending). Not that I mind, I am more curious in how he will act as a wall against Shirou's belief system and challenge it. The previous episode set it up quite nicely with Kirei pointing out that there having to exist an evil to fight in Shirou's "hero of justice" ideology. However, not particularly a fan of Kirei harboring evil motives simply for the sake of acting as a transgressor against Shirou, no matter the cost.

So I am curious how it will develop in the story.

I want to point out that F/SN isn't the kind of VN where one route only has small differences, oh no. Fate, UBW and HF are routes that follow the same prologue but after that prologue everything changes in the story. Also Shirou's ideals will definitely get challenged. As is to be expected of course.

Glad to hear it. Though should have guessed this being the case. The poster for Heaven's Feel raises some questions by itself.

I always found dark/corrupted versions of X a rather childish and simplistic trope.

You would be correct. It's the route that pretty much turns a lot of stuff upside down and answers any questions you might have left at that point.

It's also the route I personally consider the best route as a sequel to Zero. However the decision to go with a movie format was probably done because there is some dark stuff in that route and movies tend to get more leeway with that kind of stuff from what I am to understand.
