Kaidan and Kelly are the best romance options for femshep. Thane is okay, but Garrus and Jacob are horrible. And Liara is.... Liara.

I didn't like them either. Well, I personally liked the characters alot, they were great, but none of them fitted with my Shepard. So he stayed faithful. Same with my female Shepard.

I did not find any of the choices for fShep tempting which was good for Liara & Kaidan.

Makes EW & Cinder's lives alot easier in ME3. Image IPB

But I know that there are others who really like Garrus, Jacob & Thane. So all is good.

Nope, you weren't alone in your disdain for ME2 romance options. In it's original vanilla incarnation, my MShep has been romance-free for both ME and ME2.

Here's hoping ME3 breaks the chain. *crosses fingers*

I actually liked Garrus' romance in my femshep playthrogh. I've seen the Thane and Jacob ones and yeah those aren't that great

Honestly, I think MShep's were better than FShep's not because they were less 'alien' looking, but because there was more exposition of the characters and more meaningful cutscenes. While I absolutely love Garrus and would romance him in almost every play through, the devs did a poor job of giving him, Jacob, and Thane plot arcs developed enough in so few conversations -- honestly I learned more about them in their dossiers acquired during LotSB than in talking with them.

Miranda and Jack were both extremely well fleshed out over the course of the game, and while Tali didn't quite receive the same amount of attention, hers was still sufficient enough to compound upon her character's development during the first game so that she was still interesting in the second, whereas Garrus remained pretty much static until the scene just before the Omega-4 Relay.

Oh, and I absolutely wish Mordin could have been romance-able xD Though I did love his comment about his picking Shepard should he be looking for some human lovin'!

It seems only Msheps in Me2 got the priiize
joke over

If you didn't like the ME2 femshep romances then stay loyal and get more of Kaiden in the next game

Liara is the only decent romance for femshep, IMO. I don't like Kaiden, don't like any of the femshep romance options in ME2.

i'm enjoying the fact that we can romance aliens at all. (Liara doesn't count since she looks like a human with blue body paint). lets be honest: humans who find scales sexy come under the category "deviant", but love is blind right? they fall for garrus or thane - not how they look. it's okay if it's too wierd for you though.

personally i choose thane as my favourite ME2 LI. His wife doesn't bother me and Shep isn't the jealous sort. Miranda is too insecure, Jack is a headache, Tali is sweet but not convincing (the transition from friend to lover is too brief, i have the same problem with Garrus)
but Liara has suddenly become attractive after her personality shift...  Image IPB but i  prefer her with maleshep.

I wasn't keen either, but that's mostly because I was very disappointed at Jack not being a f/f option.

Jacob didn't interest me much, and though his romance arc did feature a good point (that he's the only person to ask Shep how she's doing), it was generally quite blah, and there was the Priiiiize line. And I didn't really appreciate "Miranda deserves a better man than me" ... but I'm just the right man for you Shepard.

I didn't like the Garrus one. I like him, but my Shep romancing him would go for personality, companionship. Sex would've been the last thing on the list if she was romancing such an anatomically, biologically different person. So the whole f*ck buddies arrangement made no sense. She has Kelly for that. In fact, Jacob would have made more sense for that. It didn't even have Shepard address the whole 'interspecies romance is uncommon' thing.

I think Thane's romance is best out of the three, but I always feel bad if my character romances the guy who has a dead wife. It's just uncomfortable. He's all "let me tell you about my wife" and then Shep's like "take me now". And I've seen that dead lover thing used several times in Bioware games now.

Weird, I liked FemShep romances more then ManShep's.

This.

Kelly- is adorable, but more of a hookup, not so much romance. (imho)

Miranda- and Shep, to quote a friend, feels like watching the high school head cheerleader and star quarterback get together. She should have been an option for FemShep (again, imo).

Jack-  is perfect for a Shepard witha  Messiah complex, althhough, with her background it's understandable.

and Tali- ...ugh, don't get me started. The hero worship should be enough to turn any self-respecting, humble Shepard off.

Garrus- While I love this character, he's a bit too alien for my taste.  Cloaca?

Thane- I love his character, and the tragdey enveloping him is incredibly hard to take, but he ended up my main Shep's romance, since they seem to be taking Kaidan in a much different direction than his ME1 version.

Jacob- He's...boring, but I give Bioware kudos for writing a romance differnt than the male li's of the past.

Kaidan/Ashley and Liara's romances are the only that seem as if Shepard is pursuing a relationship with an equal.  Granted, Liara's doesn't exactly start to feel that way until ME2, but at least it gets there.

Don't meant o complain, I thin the incorporation of romances in Bioware games are awesome, but not all are appealing.

I didn't but i'm just one of the few, who dont really pursue romances in games. i liked how ME2 the romances were not that big of a deal, compared to other BW games.

Nope OP you're not the only one.

I thought maybe my femShep could go for Thane - then he had one of his bad-trip flashback thingies. Ugh, no.

In the screenies before the game I thought Jacob was good looking. Then he started to talk and he had some sort of weird mouth animations going on there. I kept waiting for his teeth to jump out of his mouth. They have a life of their own, lol. So......ugh, no. And the line about Miranda should've been different for a femShep, imo. But hey, women gamers are still just after-thoughts.

Garrus. What can I say besides he kind of seems like a little brother. He needs way too much instruction about life in general. Not to mention the whole dinosaur-insect-bird thing look he's got going on. So-oo: Ugh, no.

Kaidan now has 3 faithful Sheps for ME3. While I love Kaidan - more palatable role-playing variety would have been nice.

If the romance options in ME2 for femShep were decent I might have been tempted to cheat on Kaidan, but unfortunately none of them were as good as the romances in ME1. They felt more like booty calls and were cringeworthy at best. Even my single femShep was not tempted.

I thought the romance in ME2 worry too easy. I liked Tali and Mira some what but not that much. Thought Horizon could have been done a lot better then it was.

Mira - daddy issues
Jack - Me against the world issues
Tali - school girl crush/I'm a virgin issues

Jacob - felt more like a bro then a romance
Garus - felt very wierd and just thrown in to appiese Garus fans
Thane - I'm dying and lonely issues

Kelly- Bootty call

Laira was great with LOTSB added but not there if not gotten

Miranda was the best option available to ManShep, it's just a damn shame of her LotSB revelation.

I really wonder what the hell they were thinking over at Bioware, putting something that should've been part of either the story or her Normandy convos in a mere wordpad file...

Doesn't look like we'll get anything better in ME3, though, what a shame.

I think why so many people either like or don't like a romance depends on their own personality and what they're able to see in that particular character. That's why I believe a lot of people lean towards a certain character because of being able to see a trait that they might have and so it peaks their interest. Again, I'm just generalizing, so maybe in ME3, you'll see a certain character that sparks your interest and would go for, but there isn't anything wrong with not romancing any of the available characters in the trilogy.

Also, it's really hard not to create a clique character because we've all had so many experiences and probably seen so much from different types of people, that we're basically expecting certain things to pop out of them, for example Jack. What would of made her extremely clique (this is my opinion and I mean no offense to anyone) would make her exclusively either bi or lesbian. I'm saying this because of her shaved head, tattoo's, etc. From first glance, you would think she'd swing that particular way. Though, I'm hoping she does in ME3 because it's always great to have more options for players.

Each their own!

Because you really are so simple that you need other people to use silly internet acronyms to be able to comprehend that what they post reflects their opinion?

Well, you are Quole, after all...

The ME2 romance option were very disapointing for femshep. Garrus is the funny best friend, Jacob well I couldn't get past the sultry voice femshep talks to him in. That was a little creepy. Thane I actually was excited for and I loved him as a character but then....he is dying, wife was murdered, and now his child is back and angry. I do love Thane's romance but also in the back of my mind I know he is dying so I got screwed. So yea the options weren't exactly the best. I will be sticking with Kaidan.

Garrus was the best. I just wish there was more of it.

I've only seen videos of the others because I romance Garrus on every single playthrough. Thane is alright though; it is touching. Probably a distant second favorite after Garrus. Jacob is pretty awful.
