I still vastly prefer the CE's cover, but either of these variations will do just nicely after ME2 vanilla's pretty-damn-ugly rendition.

These are so corny it hurts.

This is EA marketing for a science-fiction franchise, were we really expecting anything else?

What else are they supposed to do?  The ME1 cover was just cheesy the ME2 cover was beyond awful, it's not like it's any worse than those, besides I seriously doubt some guy at EA designed this.

Yeah it's not like the covers for ME1 and ME2 didn't featured 3/4 of those<_<

Design-wise, the cover would do best with minimalistic, cool colours (a là Skyrim or Heavy Rain). The problem with this is (presumably) it wouldn't draw new fans. As it is, though, with the blues and oranges clashing and the funky use of space, it would make a hideous cover.

A very, very hideous cover.

Yeah that's probably what Manshep would look like after a few weeks of near nonstop combat and managing a war for galactic survival.

They're too Shepard focused for my taste. Prefer something that shows Shepard as part of the larger setting.

(Or just Liara, but that's personal bias talking)

It's funny how the Collector's Edition covers are always the prettiest.

And I thought the standard cover art was bad... I don't like the current and I don't like this.
Sorry BioWare... I am not a fan of soldiers in wannabe-badass poses.

Looks awesome, but that it´s lacking the 2 squadmates.
Vega & Liara, Ashley and the male-alien, or spoiler and male-alien.

Well, yeah.

Thats what a cover is for.

The CE is the one that was designed for the fans, with its minimal N7 design. The cover of the SE is, rather obviously, going to be designed to attract new fans. Thats the entire point of a game's cover - to look appealing on a shelf.

The N7 cover for the ME3 CE is on of the best game covers I've ever seen. Likewise, the cover for the ME2 CE was really good. I'm kinda gutted I missed out on getting that - I got the CE for ME1, and I'm going to for ME3 but I ended up buying the normal version of ME2. Would've been nice to have the full set.
