Like the obvious reason that Kaidan isn't gonna be in a majority of games and would confuse new players as to WTF is that for him not having a lot of screenshots/video?

He has one screenshot, which is promo artwork I believe.

I think they used Kaidan for that promo stuff due to the change Ashley went through. I remember the hate over a tiny portrait used in the mag that showed Kaidan liara and sheploo. Kaidan was the safe option.

Okay that's true but there's a reason for it.

Now I have no problems with people pushing for more marketing exposure it's just the whole "well he has the least amount of exposure!" kind of makes me go "duh. He's the permanent squaddie that's liable to be in the least amount of games." 

@Collider: And that's a in game screenshot rather than a promo? Cause I'm pretty sure that's promoting the Defender DLC.

Unless you'd care to tell me the difference.

The promo with Kaidan isn't an in-game screenshot rendered by the in-game engine. That's all I'm saying.

For an officially announced squadmate, Kaidan just hasn't had much coverage. Regardless of popularity, if they're announcing him alongside Ashley. Liara, and the others. everyone deserves equal coverage.

That goes for Tali, too. I may not like her much, but she's really been shafted. We've seen videos of Ashley, Liara, Vega, and Garrus, but nothing of the other two.

The fact which I, supporter of solid knowledge, do not like is inconsistencies between "screenshots". Very first screenshot looks like artwork and it doesn't represent ingame situation (look at Liara's lips). CE picture shows alternate version of armor, so no information on "canon" ingame look as well. Artbook teaser also shows not final (?) version - doesn't look like render to me, and some details are different from "screenshot". Small Kaidans in artbook teaser are too small to tell details. So, which look is the most representative to ingame look? What about actual ingame screenshot to judge how engine works with used model and textures? Hell, at least if that grey temples are result of lighting or it's actually grey hair?

The reason why Kaidan hasn't really appeared is because the default Virmire Survivor for Manshep is Ashley.

I'm sure when (or if) we get a Femshep trailer, we'll see him.

Vega barely got coverage until yesterday. Garrus and Liara are the ones who got most of the exposure.

And yeah Tali just has screenshots and a shot of her walking.

Just give it time. It looks like they'll be more of the Vega type vids. Hopefully.

That doesn't mean they don't have big fanbase, who wait desesperate, to see at least one screenshot. ( Kaidan has already some things, we saw him )

It is already difficult for them, that they favourite Li or characters won't be permanent squadmate, so, it is no less important.

It is obvious that bioware keep the traditional advertising, like any serie TV, or movies. When you see a male, aside, a female counterpart.

It is clear for me, that they want to reveal Kaidan as a big thing, with Femshep. They want you to be excited when they want to and no when you want to. Meanwhile, they want you focused on this new male, Vega, for a while. XD

So, as long as Femshep isn't showed, just assume that you won't see him. After, if he  is still not there, you can scream, and kill them.

This, basically. The promo work and what he looks like in game could be drastically different. That's why the promo artwork doesn't really work as a screenshot in my opinion.

Well, it has only been six months. I imagine it's easier, safer, and more efficient for quarians to upgrade exosuit systems rather than change them altogether.

I'd wait for the femShep trailer (now *that* is something that needs to hurry up) and failing that the demo. If he's not in the demo and you can't snag screenies then I'd pass out pitchforks and torches for the march on BW headquarters. :happy:

Haha If we just had an estimated date for the FemShep trailer I would gladly wait. But yeah, the pitchforks and torches are definitely my plan if we don't get any Kaidan.
