Kaidan is in the game unless you had him killed on Virmire.

Let's see, shoud I choose someone with biotics and tech powers over someone who just shoots people? I'll go for the sentinel.

I won't mind seeing his confirmed final powers list instead of screenshot.

The fact which I, supporter of solid knowledge, do not like is inconsistencies between "screenshots". Very first screenshot looks like artwork and it doesn't represent ingame situation (look at Liara's lips). CE picture shows alternate version of armor, so no information on "canon" ingame look as well. Artbook teaser also shows not final (?) version - doesn't look like render to me, and some details are different from "screenshot". Small Kaidans in artbook teaser are too small to tell details. So, which look is the most representative to ingame look? What about actual ingame screenshot to judge how engine works with used model and textures? Hell, at least if that grey temples are result of lighting or it's actually grey hair?

This, basically. The promo work and what he looks like in game could be drastically different. That's why the promo artwork doesn't really work as a screenshot in my opinion.

I'd wait for the femShep trailer (now *that* is something that needs to hurry up) and failing that the demo. If he's not in the demo and you can't snag screenies then I'd pass out pitchforks and torches for the march on BW headquarters.

Sounds like an excellent plan.

Kaidan has screenshots.

As for a lack of vid sure.

And Kaidan is not the only permanet squaddie without screenshots or video. Hello there spoiler squaddies!

He has one screenshot, which is promo artwork I believe.

Annnnd those are spoiler squad members for a reason :P Fine, though. He's the "officially announced" squad member with the least amount of screenshots and videos.

Hasn't the bolded part been our stance about the lack of Kaidan screenshots for about six pages now? :P

Kaidan might not be alive more so than Ashley but that doesn't mean that there are no saves were Kaidan is alive and thus no in-game footage of him isn't in my opinion understandable. I understand there would be less publicity for Kadian and I have accepted that, but he still has fans and should get at least a few in-game shots realeased before ME3.

Surely you see where we are coming from? He might not be the most popular but he is still a squad member for those that did save him. So even one in-game shot or a glimpse of his face for 5 seconds is enough for me to be  content.

That is all we are asking, surely it isn't that unreasonable? :?

Nope it's not unreasonable. Never said it was. Just that its not surprising and I see why the devs aren't making him a priorty. Remember we don't have that much footage and screenshots in the first place (offically anyway). Vega's trailer was a nice amount but that just happened yesterday. Hopefully each main character will get something similar.

I'm expecting more footage of him when FemShep has screenshots/trailers. (which should hopefully be soonish and actually soon not "LOL febuary 14th!" soon.)

Frankly I want a look at Miranda's new look and I want to see more of Legion and Thane.

Excellent, then I'll continue to agitate until new Kaidan screenshots are released.

Of course, if the Femshep trailer timeline is anything like the demo timeline, it might not happen until after the game is comes out.

And screenshots/video by that time would be pretty pointless. :pinched:

Having less advertising doesn't mean less importance in the story. BioWare showed more and almost only for a long time " pew pew, and multiplayer " it does not mean that there are no rpg elements. It was just a strategy.

We saw after, when they felt they showed enough pew pew to attract "new players ", they showed a bit more about customization, story, companions, etc etc, and there will be probably more after. So, yes, They were also focused on the goal of attracting more players (mostly male) So, they show since the beginning a male hero. And so, always human female counterpart.

Everything is planned to reach a goal. Now, it's a period for Vega, the new human male. Kaidan would be an embarrassment, for his recent fame.

It it legetimate to feel neglected as fans on the bsn, but it doesn't matter against what they feel important, to have the most impact according to a strategy followed.

There will be a time for Femshep. I bet they want it to be special. They are aware, that it is really something that people expect to see so badly, and they want to take advantage of that. XD

This. I play Soldier so I'm counting on Kaidan to do all the enemy debuffing.

Sadly nothing guarantees even that. You may check this post and linked thread in general, but I have no idea where that information came from (not from leaks I've seen, for sure) and there are some strangeness with powers.

For those who don't mind some gameplay speculation / spoiler: two squadmates have Reave while no one has Neural Shock, Throw or Pull.

Another reason I'm really hoping he shows up in the demo...knowing how I can utilize his powers will be useful.

Actually that's where the squadmate stuff is from (ones we haven't seen in action yet)...meaning the .tlk files

My money is on Kaidan getting: Overload, Warp, Throw, and Neural Shock. I'm basing this on the Sentinel Shepard's, Kaidan's ME1, and Miranda's ME2 Powers.

Keywords "I've seen". I simply can't find such stuff on my own >.<

And then "uncomplete, not fully relevant, not entirely clear" comes into play. I'd like to have some guarantees - maybe not in aesthetics department, but in gameplay, if asking for both is too much; that's what I was trying to say.

*nods nods* That sounds about right. Honestly, I have a hard time figthing comfortably without a Sentinel on my squad, like in Kasumi's LM and Arrival. I hope they don't do anymore missions with a pared down squad in ME3. :pinched:

Kasumi is awesome, though. She has Shadow Strike and flashbang.

Wow no one has pull, throw or neural shock? I am really surprised about that. Against husks pull and throw worked wonders! Now I am really curious to see their powers!

Pull and throw became a little less useful at higher difficulties because they don't work through armor, barriers, or shields though. Warp and reave were definitely more useful. But I would be surprised if they're not in the game AT ALL because they were in the first two games. :/ And I loved neural shock in ME1.

She only has flashbang after her LM though. The most useful power in ME2 for me was warp, and secondarily, overload. Might be why Sentinel is my favorite class. ;)

Kaidan is in Mass Effect 3...if he didn't get microwaved on Virmire. Which for me is about 30% of my playthroughs. I've saved Ashley as both genders and saved Kaidan as both genders. I'd like to think of Kaidan as my Male Shepards bro.

And yeah whenever you see Ashley just picture Kaidan.

Also because the "canon" (using that loosely) shepard is a Male Soldier, saving Ashley is the unofficial 'canon' choice.

Garrus is my malesheps bro *fist bumps Garrus*
