Just looking at re-going over ME1 & 2 as ME3 is comming in a few months, and I've just realized that I've lost all my ME 1 & 2 saves - so going to have to redo them. Was looking at different romance options and have read through the wiki and searched these forums, but still left wondering a few things.. Oh, and it's been a long time since I've played, so forgotten a lot of things.
So thought I'd post here and see if anyone can shed some light on these things (and hopefully in the correct forum).
Does the paragon / renegade influence who you can romance? or kill off a romance if you go purely 1 way or another?
From reading and memory, paragon can do any romance available and make it work while renegade either kills the romance or your forced to go paragon to enable/finish/continue theromance. How true/correct/accurate is this statement?
What I'm looking at is as follows:
A. Male Shepard
1. Ashley Williams - can you do a full romance in ME1 as a full out Renegade?
I know she's not as rascist and xenophobic as many seems, but she is pro-human... but can you influence her either way (ie paragon to be more open, renegade to be more rascist)? and if so, does this effect the possible romance?
2. Tali (in ME2) - Does she care about your paragon / renegade stance? Can you do a romance as full renegade? Or would you need to go paragon with ker to get the romance? (and yes, I know in ME2 you can't be 100% para/rene and never get points on the other)
- Also, does her being loyal/not-loyal influence the romance? I can't remember this, and would influence the 1 aspect of her as a companion (the trial and whether to hand over the evidence or not, although I don't think I would anyways)
As it stands right now, those are the only 2 I'm looking at. Miranda never really interested me, and nether did Jack.
B. Female Shepard
1. Garrus - from reading it seems Garrus can be done as a renegade FemShep, so he doesn't care whether your renegade or paragon?
I actually like Thane, but not really sure it would suit a renegade femshep as much as Garrus would. Admittidly I can't remember much of him, so maybe he's better than Garrus.. or not. Meh. so same question - romance with full renegade? Or requires paragon? (reading the wiki seems to suggest renegade = avoid romance / romantic encounters)
C. either Male or Female Shepard
1. Liara - She swings both ways, so considering her for either run. Can you romance her asa a full renegade? Does she care if your super hugely pro-human and a big jerk to people?
I guess what it comes down to - can you romance any/most/all of the romanceable team-members as full out renegade, picking renegade lines? Or are you forced to pick paragon options with them if you want to romance? and if so, who requires paragon conversations to be romanced?
