The entitlement is really appalling.
For one of the more intelligent games out there, it has certainly produced some of the dumber fans in all of gaming.

I like toys, my work desk has been conquered by them. For those that don't like toys or think they're frivolous, that's your prerogative. Me, I did actual backflips when Series 2 was revived. You don't *have* to buy any of them, if you don't like toys. To groan about having to buy luxury items that you really don't want should be classified as some kind of mental illness.

That said, I'd be giddy if purchasing Legion somehow unlocked playing as Geth in multiplayer. The toys are enough, but if they make the bonuses into something amazing, it could be the most rewarding merch ever.

Edit: EVER.

The worst part is that it's random. You could by all of them, and still not get everything they could give you. Because the rewards are random.

I agree. The figures would have been bought by those who wanted them. This pushes those of us interested in the content to have to buy these figures to get the content, which obviously makes it an astronomical price for that experience.

Nobody is tying you down and forcing you to buy figures. Just like nobody forced you to buy cans of Dr.Pepper and what not when they did exclusives for ME2. But if it pursudes others to have a look at the figures and consider buying the figures then good. That is the point of a promotion.

Just like little Timmy needs to buy cereal if he wants the prize inside. ~That's how it works.

Then that's your decision to make. Bioware shouldn't be restricted from running a promotion because a few OCD forumites feel they need to get every single dlc out there.

Put on your big boy pants and buy the figures or deal with it.

Personally, an extra multiplayer skin for my Turian is not worth 60$.

And I'll bet Bioware adds the DLC to Xbox Marketplace just because they know certain people will buy them.
So just wait it out.

But I really want the downloads. This isn't a problem in the sense that I feel they a charging me $40 extra to get the ending o ME3. That would be just about "forcing". The problem here is that many of us are obviously interested in the content, but the route you are forced to follow to get the content is obviously unreasonable for those of us genuinely interested in the content and not toys.

Stop with stupid "You don't have to buy it" arguments. I am a fan, I can not just pretend this never existed.

What the heck is wrong with people? The big complaint isn't about whether or not it is nice that people who buy the toys get a bonus.

The issue is that many of us are interested in the content and the only route we can go down is an astronomically priced one.

If some token DLC is so important to you that your world ends if you can't have it then you really need to sort your priorities.

And if you can't live without it save up your money and buy figures. Though honestly i find your obsession with token DLC's strange. I guess you were not often told "no" as a child.

Then i guess your fandom stops at figures? Honestly you should look into them my figures look lovely on my shelf right now. Except for Shepard they made him look a little weedy but that's another issie.

And it';s like i just said to the other fellow arguing the toss. Why is token DLC so important to you? There are bigger priorities in life than some multiplayer content. And if you truely can't live without go buy some cool figures they are fun. You can make them do all kinds of stuff XD

OK, your point is obviously that you want the prize but don't want $271.96 worth of cereal. Sucks to be you, I guess.

Well, sorry, but this is your problem. Don't get me wrong, I love and appreciate that you want everything because you care about the game so much. But having all the weapons, or all the armor or all the X (keeping in mind we have not announced all the DLC for ME3 yet, X could be anything) is not required, but optional.

That you want what is optional is awesome, but do not blame us for trying to promote our games and products to everyone instead of just you (and by you I mean you all who feel this way, not you as in you).

That's a lot for DLC gun or character.

But if you don't have a problem with that price, then I guess you're a rich kid to blow that kind of money.

Bioware is smart guys, after seeing threads like this, plus they're need to make money, I'll guarantee 100% these extra dlc things will eb released on XBOX Marketplace.

It'll be just like GoW3, where you pay money to get skins...for your guns.

And i was interested in the special edition comics they had with X Men toys. You know what i had to do? BUY THE FIGURES. They don't sell them seperately.

Or I don't have a problem with that price because I'm not paying it.

Even if these DLC bits do turn up for separate download, I don't see myself buying them.

Or if you're neurotic.

You forfeit your right to complain and to receive any sympathy, because you're imposing this on yourself and then complaining. More Mass Effect merchandise is only a good thing for the franchise, and if these make them some money, maybe we'll get more stuff?

I'd like more stuff. (MASS EFFECT LEGOS)
Worst case scenario, all of you people crying like four year olds with scraped knees could probably turn around and re-sell your opened figures for a few bucks on eBay. Cheaper, out of package figures are like blood in the water to toy customizers. Then, your investment doesn't sting quite so badly!

If you're the type that doesn't want to get even $1 dollar DLC, then that's you.

But honestly, I don't like the idea of having an optional content not available, just because I don't want to shell out $60 to $200 dollars.

Again, why make it exclusive? And random exclusive at that. Why not allow me to pay for it seperately, while if I bought the figure, I get it for free? Like Cerberus Network? Get it free, or pay 12 dollars? Because these figure don't need an "exclusive" to sell.

Or on the random business, why not make it design so if I do buy all of them, I get everything? Instead of screwing me over if I still buy all of them?

But my point is that this method appeals only to those who want to buy all the figurines. It is most definitely not for everyone. For everyone would be more like offering them for purchase alone, or saying that they will be available to everyone in June.

Unless I am just missing the point.;) And I'm very serious. I love this series. I have three lithographs hanging on my wall, the books, the collector's editions, etc., but no figurines. Figurines aren't my thing, but they will have to be my pricey thing if I ever hope to have the full range of ME3 content. That stings me and maybe that is my problem, but it comes from loving your series. I can't imagine I am the only one with this problem.
