WHYYY? They are soo cool. They take a bath often, not like these Fereladans, who never seen a bath after they were born.
And without shevalier in party we don't feel orlesian culture.

Aveline wasn't really a Chevalier, apart from anything else she didn't have the arrogant distain for everyone of a lesser social class than herself. Have you played MoA? Duke Prosper gave me my wish of being able to pummel an Orlesian noble but I hope that if we are subjected to any more of the same in DA3 that they are more intelligent and have less annoying accents than those we have encountered so far. I agreed with Fenris - at the Wyvern hunt I was cheering for the wyverns. That said, a truly sexy Orlesian noble with a voice that makes you go weak at the knees would be okay.

I think a chevalier would make a really interesting companion. The clash/blend of personality with the protagonist could make for some very interesting dialogue.

I would like to see a noble or a chevilier (they could be the same person), but more important if da3 is in Orlais then I want to be an orlesian, no more Fereldan, I don't particulary care for that country and their dogs.

As long as it's new and interesting companions, I don't care who they are or where they're from. I just play to have fun.

Yes- Gaskard Dupui. And I hope devs show us more pleasant orlesian nobility like Julien from Calling.

Orlesians are fattened pigs, and corrupt. Their empire is evil and their culture is decadent. Better that their entire empire be ripped to pieces by heroic Fereldans. Ferelden is the only country worthy of becoming a great power. Destroy everything in Orlais from every palace, to every castle, to every manor, to every city, to every village, until the entire country is one big crater.

Would that include the mages at Andoral's Reach or not?

If DA3 must have Orlesians, I pray they are the ones that will not talk. I find the over-the-top accents and insidious attitudes abrasive.

Pig and Corrupt get in every country. Julien and Nocolas was normal guys, Julien also a noble man.
Vogan in Fereldain is so ****, no matter that he is Fereldain. Tevinter empire is evil empire with theisr decadent culture, grazy blood mages and slavery.

Better to not have the frills. It is a mark of a culture of prancing poppinjays, not REAL MEN.

Prosper, the guy who sits on a wyvern and acts like a pompous fool? Eh, not so much. If he split Tallis's skull in two with a giant axe, then I'd agree.

I can't stand the accents so I'm hoping Orlais will just be the starting area and not where we're stuck for the entire game.

I kinda want an Orliesian Alienage elf. The accent could be toned down and we've never had a city elf for a companion.

We needn't insult the Orlesian culture (which is derived of French culture) just because we only know of a few villains and discontents; Ferelden is a hotbed of anti-Orlesian sentiment; hearing accurate information about Orlais in Ferelden would be as likely as hearing nice things about the Pope in the Soviet Union. I do believe that Orlais is probably filled with good people and not all chevaliers will be mean-spirited.

Furthermore, we'll probably encounter reasons for Orlesian invasion that make better sense than "they just wanted land and labourers".

I would like to meet an Orlesian detective (rogue shadow), an Orlesian female chevalier who is also a templar (we need more trybadist warriors in the DA series I feel), a Tevinter interpreter who is Orlesian by birth and operates as a bard, a high ranking Tevinter mage of Kossith descent (who is disgruntled at the lack of upward mobility due to his suspicious origins), a Fex coffee brewer with experience in battle as a sten, and of course a well-treated and educated courtesean who was once a chanter board girl.

My Awakening warden is from Orlais. And my Cousland's mother is an Orlesian. I think I have enough Orlesian bloodline already.

It is gratifying to see the meticulous care and subtle attention to detail Bioware put into its worldbuilding.

Orlesians: Foppy French and semi-evil. The only good Orlesian is a dead Orlesian, a Ferelden by birth raised in Orlais
(Leliana, Riordan) or an Orlesian raised in Ferelden (Avelline).

Antivans: Italo-Russian Mafiosi
Rivainis: Vaguely Hispanic pirates and criminals, though the women are sexy, rrrrrawrrrr:devil:

Tevinters: Vaguely Graeco-Italian slavers and sadists.

Fereldens: Freedom-loving and mostly decent Anglo-Americans.

Hmmm…I really wonder who designed this world? Certainly not a bunch of Anglos from Canada…

And yes, I know it’s a bit more nuanced than that. But there’s something decidedly…uncomfortable about the way they have characterized the different nations so far.
It has the subtlety of a British soccer hooligan on holiday in France.<_<

Hopefully that will change in future installments in the series.

A variety of non-stereotypes.

One aspect that should definitely be explored is that Orlais possesses perhaps the most powerful military in Thedas - outside the Qunari, anyway. That doesn't really fit with their reputation - and indeed portrayal - as fops, and that contrast is interesting. Somewhere under all the lace is steel.
