93, just because ME2 had a drastic change from ME1, and ME3 is similar to ME2. If it gets anything below 80 than it will be dissapointing.

You know, it's kind of hard imagining a metascore higher than ME2's.

Well, ME2 will be a tough act to beat. But from what I've seen, I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm going to guess 92.

Let's remember this is an official score so those early reviews will always be high(otherwise they wouldn't get them early). Plus although there's a huge amount of things added that I don't like the look of I think the basic game will be good enough to score at least as well as ME1.

Fan wise might be different due to DA2 hangover(some people scoring low as revenge) and the new additions to the game some traditional fans won't like.

Official - 88

User - 7.0

Seeing how willingly Critics give out 100's now, (ie Skyrim having like 16) I wouldn't be surprised if ME3 got a similar figure in the upper 90's. So long as all promises and expectations are kept.

User score, well depends how many people are bored and troll zeros.

90+ are given out left, right and centre. You have to work really hard to get a ****** poor score.

Critics: Mid to high 80s
User: mid to high 70s with a few 10s from the devs

Sales: On consoles neither gaining or losing sales compared to ME2, PC sales down 30-40%.

Depends on how the MP will turn out.

That is the one big reason why I think it will score less than ME2. I have concerns about the MP.

Besides, Dead Space tried and it failed.

How is that even relevant? Dead Space 2 still got a higher score than the first game despite its multiplayer.

As for ME3's score I think it will be really hard to beat ME2's, but it will definetly be higher than the first game's so I'd say something like 94-95 (for xbox).

Then the user score will be around 5-6, with the odd 10/10 account that reviewed every other RPG out with a 0/10.

Personally, I quite enjoyed DS2 MP, although only 4 maps were the biggest drawback. Walking on walls as lurker never got old for me.

As for ME3 metacritic score, I'd say 92 - 94, with users score around 70. A lot of 1/10 'wtf is that crap skyrim ftw' hate will happen.
Xbox Skyrim got 96, and its not that great a game, I think much of the praise was born out of anticipation for it.

It's all about if the reviewers/players will want to love it, or not.

That was indeed the case for me, until reaching 100 hours of play time, I've finaly realised how much the devs lied about the whole "You can be whatever you want to be!", but in truth it's "You can be only what we want you to be!".

Why not reach for the sky and hope it's the first game with a 100? XD Or at least a 98 to kick GTA IV off its high horse.

This.

Yeah, becuase anything less than 9 means the game is rubbish, can't be the only one who thinks 7/10 is a good score.

Given the hype and expectations, everything less than 95 constitutes a failure.

I have already created such a thread several months ago. Woo locked it, stating it is "not really game-related".
