I don't know about introducing an LI to your mother. But I would dig some DLC that explore's Shepard's past, depending on whether or not you were Earthborn or Spacer or Ruthless, etc.

I guess your mother might be tied up in that beautiful mess too.

You do make an interesting point though. Why isn't there more immigration in the ME'verse? Like asari, turian etc. families that have settles on Alliance worlds and taken up Alliance citizenship and vice versa with humans living in other species' worlds.

Well with the others  it's possible you might get a half-breed (I really don't know).  Omega has human's but your right, you don't see as much imigration, as their should be. But in convos in ME1 with Liara, she mentions that other species can find humans intimidating.

Shep could have 100%  human kids with Ash,Kaiden,Jacob,Jack, or Miranda.( Which is why I didn't mention them.) Hannah might have issues with Sheperd being with Garus,Thane,Liara, or Tali. Because they couldn't have 100% human kids. ( So sheps kids couldn't carry on the family tradition; of being in the alliance millitary.)

Couldn't miranda be a parent via Surrogacy?

I agree the kid's woulden't look that good, but still I'm sure someone could come up with a plausible theory.*shrugs*

I think it's implied that he's alive, just not that important. Both of your parents are alive if you're a spacer.

I would love to have the parents be an element.... I mean, there is death everywhere with ME2, why not have a short little gift where your mom sends ya a message that she is proud of you and such, and maybe even something based in LI? For those without one, you could even go as far as to give those sheps a long-lost final letter.

I wonder if like in DA2 they'll have your mum killed off halfway through as a plot twist for spacers. There could be similar moments for earthborn and colonists can't think of anything now...
Anyway I'm sure she'll be find with your LI but I would love to FemShep's dad reaction to any of the LI as I think he'll be more of a traditionalist

My main Shep is also Earthborn. I'd like Shep to maybe be able to visit the area where they grew up, or at least talk to their LI or another character (like Joker) about living on the streets, commiting crime and such. Same with the Colonist, if we visit Mindoir and Shep could talk about that. Maybe even see how Tabitha is doing, while Earthborn Shep could talk to someone more positive from their past.
