1) The flowchart that contains all the imported data from your ME1 and ME2 data is remarkably complex and just mind staggering.

did the article have the flowchart n with it

No it did not, most likely because there are over 1,000 variables that affect your play-through in ME3. It would be nice to get a break down of all those variables one day.

7) If the Council died in ME1, they'll be reluctant to help Earth when Shepard first arrives.

2) Cutscenes are drastically affected by your past decisions and narrative.

-
The article describes an example of two seperate
motion-captured animations for a cutscene were Ashley is seriously
injured and if Shepard romanced her in ME1 he'll actually pick her up
very "tenderly" as apposed to picking her up in a more "professional"
manner.

This is great. I wonder how other cutscenes will be like ^_^

Hope this happens even if you "cheated" on her.

Shepard Ah yes "Reapers"! The immortal race of sentient starships destroying our galaxy! I have dismissed that claim!

Renegade was the 'new council, lead by humanity' not Paragon, sorry. Paragon earned humanity a seat on the council. Renegade forced its way onto the council by 'saving the citadel' (and sacrificing the old council). It's still made up by aliens + humans regardless of Paragon or Renegade. Difference is 'how' we got a seat and how the current council (new or old) think of us due to that.

Neutral gave you the 'new council, lead by humanity.'  Renegade gave you an all-human Council.

Here:

Renegade doesn't give you an all-human council.  I'm currently playing ME2 with save where the Council were ignored and left to die.  The Council isn't all human, the aliens were replaced by new members and are lead by humanity.

Same as above, though the Renegade ending in ME1 may well have been scrapped.

5) Planet scanning and mineral mining is essentially replaced with a "Search and Rescue mechanic," , where you can explore the conflict zones for any survivors.

So instead of mineral scanning it's "people scanning?" If so, atleast it's a bigger incentive to scan.

You know, a few years ago, when I dish out $60 for a game, I expect to get the FULL game.

And now you're getting a game you can't even complete without Facebook, iPhone and stuff.

Oh wait.

And what if the council is full of humans, wouldn't they be more likely to help Earth?

And what if the Council is supposed to be headed by a Human?

Questions like these are why the notion of Favoritism exists.

Udina may have to help defend the other races and therefore must alocate their forces across the galaxy. Or much of the Alliance Navy is decimated and they don't have any man power to defend anyone. Both is possible.

Udina was the most adamant about securing human interests.  If any group would be more willing to cut their losses with Earth... it'd be the original Council (you'd think)... but nooooooo, the human lead/all human Council are the ones who don't want to save the Earth... seems kinda funny to me.

Seems like bull to me... <_<

lol ftw

Zombie Council (as they point to Shepard):  "I don't like you...."

Seriously though, they're referring to the Council that replaced them at the end of the first game.... that we never saw in the 2nd game...

I'm curious about the mechanic that's replacing the mining system. If it's a scan, drop rescue team pod style and complete then I'll hate it with a passion. If it actually means we scan planet side, find distress beacons and actually go down there ourselves to kick ass and chew bubble gum then I'm all for it.

Though I'm still curious about how we're supposed to mine for resources or whatever. Are they included in the rescue mechanics or are they completely seperate?

I'm personally hoping in generic MP-style level of varying areas (already doing that 'for' MP) where you have to clear out hostiles to save hostages. If they do it that way, and they use the MP levels (or use these levels in MP, whatever) they could technically have an unlimited amount of rescue missions randomly sprout up.

If they go for a more handcrafted approach (... which they probably wont) the number of them would be rather ehh... limited. Either way I hope you get a lot of resources. Biggest issue I had with planet scanning wasn't the actual mini-game as much as it was how much you got per probe. Which ultimately meant you had to do it a lot, waaay more then should of ever been intended.

A lot of that also had to do when you found minerals in other missions it was only 250-500-ish at best. Which meant you couldn't really supplement supply with missions as it took thousands, at minimum, to get even 1 upgrade. And wtf was with 50k for 'scar-remover' o.O ...that thing should of let you re-do your entire face.

12) The movement system is very refined, smooth and more "free-flowing"

13) Enemies will actively "flank, charge, retreat and co-ordinate their attacks"

14) The difficultly has been increased via better enemy AI and level design

3 Great, I really needed another thing with pointless social capablities
12 Why haven't they shown that in any of the combat videos? Other than a few cover swaps, Shepard seems to move in the same way.
13 They always say this, I have yet to see it in any game that's hyped it
14 For the AI part, see above. Good level design is always good.

Other than that I'm pleased with everything, 12, 13 and 14 I'm not really displeased with, they were more observations.
