The problem is, I already have the latest Nvidia drivers -- and everywhere I search on here, I keep getting linked back to http://www.nvidia.co...river.html]this page[/url]. I tried that, but when I run the .exe I am told that I already have a newer version, and the installation aborts.

Help? I use Windows 7 and GeForce GTX 470 graphic cards (which are Nvidia). I also updated with the latest patch.

Four softwares have to cooperate to run Dragon Age. There is the basic graphics driver for the card, then there is Dx9, not a newer Direct3D, although all of them are compatible with one another. PhysX is separate (on the game disk) from the nVIDIA driver. Last, there is the game itself. Somewhere along the line since the game was new, part of one of them has gotten corrupted on your system.

I would guess it is the standalone PhysX, which you can get separately from the driver, at nVIDIA's download site. I don't know, since I got off of the roller coaster that was the good / bad /good / bad drivers from nVIDIA, and am sticking with AMD Radeons now.

Ah, I don't have a disk, I bought from direct2drive awhile ago. I just recently decided to reinstall on my new computer. I tried (another) fresh reinstall, but had the same problem.

Anyways, I uninstalled/reinstalled the physx system software I tried to link to originally, and it worked this time. I have no idea what happened with my link in the OP, but if anyone is still having the issue, the version I use is this one.

So try reinstalling that as well, even if it says that's the version you're already using.
