I do as well. I do not have internet capable of supporting xbox live, and that cuts out a good chunk of a game that I've been wanting forever, at part of a series that I love.
I hope this changes but I doubt it will, being as hard as it would be to get EA/Bioware's attention from a forum much less change it this close to release.
Oh well here's hoping. besides it's still going to be a great game.

I'd like to express my interest for either LAN (only true multiplayer I'll ever play) or just offline pseudo "multiplayer" with ai controlled characters to round out your squad.

Why do you want to play multiplayer offline? Isn't the charm with multiplayer is to test your skill and hopefully also learn new moves and tactics from other people?

Because I have limited (12kpbs per second) internet, but I have friends who also have limited internet who would love to play the game as a team, using both split screen and through system link.

But hey I guess not. There is absolutely no legitimate reason to want to play the game offline. Nope.

No, it's to be able to play with friends.

I rarely play any games online, but playing offline co-op with friends is something I really enjoy. One of the best experiences I've had this generation was playing through Resident Evil 5 with a friend. Offline multiplayer in ME3 would be fantastic.

I support split screen co-op. I have more fun being able to sit beside my friend when I play co-op, than I do when it's a bunch of strangers online.

This.

I wonder if there is a specific reason for the game not to support offline MP or if it's just an oversight that is to late to fix, I hope this isn't a sign of things to come in the industry.

Sigh, things just aren't fair sometimes.

Not only this but like I stated in the other thread I have a bandwidth cap.

Also I have shared Internet with my roommate which means if I want to play coop I have to pay double and lag.

This is so stupid. Add LAN support Bioware.

If they don't add LAN or offline support it's going to suck a couple years down the road when we want to play the galaxy at war parts again and can't because EA shut the servers down. That is why dedicated servers (hosting them ourselves) is a good thing. I'm curious if ME3 single player will even function when the servers are shut down? Isn't galaxy at war a part of SP?

I remember spending a summer playing Halo 1 at my friends house and it was the best summer ever we had so many funny moments playing the Library without killing any enemies on legendary was the best

I support offline split screen. I live where high speed internet is not an option and the Mass Effect games are my favorite because they do not require online to play. When downloading DLC I would go to a friends house and borrow their internet to get it. Now I understand that Bioware is saying that you don't have to play multilayer at all and can still enjoy the single player aspect of the game. But I also know that if you do play multilayer you get some pretty cool benefits, benefits that some of us won't be able to get.

That's where I feel like ME3 is stepping away from its predecessors. In ME and ME2 I feel everyone was equal as far as playing the game, because it was an offline game from the start. Now that multilayer has been added I'm afraid I won't get to enjoy the game to it's full potential anymore. I also understand that most of the multilayer pressure was probably from Microsoft, just like the Kinect feature. But Bioware still needs to hear out their fans and help us out.

Someone should tweet Bioware these threads (or atleast the request)...

There's no good reason why co-op shouldn't be available to everyone (whether online or offline). Split-screen should be in.

As it is now, co-op is a huge waste of potential and (to me) disc space... with millions of potential owners cut off from something they undoubtedly want people to play.

+1 for wanting to co-op with friends in person.

I'm quite disappointed to find there's no option for LAN or split-screen. I could care less about online play; don't have the time for it. I prefer to play with friends, in the same room as them.

Was the same with Dead Island. Co-op is fine, but I didn't know the guys I was playing with, so I didn't really care about the experience. Opted for singleplay instead.

Honestly, when I heard that Mass Effect 3 had co-op multiplayer, I took it for *granted* that there would be a local/offline mode for people who just want to sit down at the same console and play together, or hook up their computers/consoles at a LAN party.

I was surprised that Bioware did not think of this or include it in ME 3. It's a pretty basic expectation when you have co-op multiplayer.

Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros...

There are tons of awesome local multiplayer games. It is sad that they are dying now-a-days.

Thank you everyone for continued vocal support. I have updated the list. We're almost 40 strong. Keep this thing moving.  If you want on the list and I didn't add you please say so. I have only been adding people who explicitly say they support it just to make sure I'm not speaking for those who have just been joining the conversation.

I know it is late in development, but let's scream for it to happen via a patch or revised release.

@Jackal7713: Spoken like a cynnic, If people didn't speak up, developers would never know fans' requests, so of course it would never happen if people never spoke up.

@Astarothkun: I only listed bots in case it would still suffice to at least play the mode if offline support didn't happen. I'd prefer LAN, but I'll take anything to make it playable. :o

@suprhomre: for people who are competitive yes that's true, but many of us want to test that skill with our friends without consideration for having to deal with dumb online conditions to make it happen.

I agree on tweeting this to Bioware. If someone has twitter please pass this along so more Bioware reps can see that this is an important feature to fans.

For those unsure why they did this, I believe it has a lot to do with business & $$ Whether it be pressure from EA due to online pass trends or simple budget shortcuts, they likely had a tactical interest but the concern is usually more to do with bottom lines than fan requests. The only way to usually get similar messages across is to let them know how it affects their bottom line by them not getting the support they expected.

Please speak up, and if it's within you vote with your wallet to help back up the request. :) I personally will throw money at the multiplayer for either an extra copy or DLC once I see it get this feature, otherwise, I will be campaign only and not supporting the mode which is not a preference. :(
