One partner isn't always "dominant." Woe on the one who believes it has to be so.

It's sometimes subtle but it's always true. One person always caves in to the other one more. Just the way things are. Or if it is not there is a lot of conflict and the relationship goes south.

Question from male Shep players.

I was turned off by Ash in ME1 and never gave her a chance for a LI. I just ran a playthrough of ME1 and picked Ash and I'm importing that save and running through ME2 with Miranda as my LI(since Ash kind of dumps me in ME2).  I did this with Ash and Miranda, because I want to see what kind of fireworks happens when these two tigers meet for this first time. Even better toss Jack in the middle of these two.Image IPB

You think fireworks will happen?Image IPB

Am I bad for doing this?Image IPB

Also, Do you think you need to stay single in ME2 to pick back up with Ash in ME3?Image IPB

I actually like Ash better after giving her a chance in ME1, but it was still pretty cold in ME2. That's why I usually like Liara the most.

I think there will be something like in ME1 where they ask you to choose.

Between the two of them, Ash will say some snarky thing, Miranda will say some catty things then they'll ask you to choose.

Yeah, that's not true. Perhaps for you, but that's not been the case for me since I was 16.

As Android said, that may be the case for you, but unless we are working off a special definition of "dominant," it has never been for me. Ever.

The only females worthy of my Shepard are Ashley and Miranda. I romanced Ashley in ME, and Miranda in ME2. So I'm going to let one of my Shepards stay with Miranda for ME3, and the other one stay single for Ashley in ME3.

I really wouldn't mind making a FemShep so she could romance Kaidan. It really ticked me off having to sacrifice him in ME, because he was one of the most useful characters. But I honestly don't have the time, or inclination to do a playthrough of ME and ME2 again..

Push comes to shove, I will probably download someone else's game so I can play as FemShep in ME3.

There is nothing more unbecoming when you're getting involved with another person and you get an inkling that they expect you to be subservient to them or be expected to lead them every step of the way. Things work best when people live their lives as individuals.

For ME I had saves where my manShep romanced Ashley, Liara, and then one that stayed single.  Ashley was and remains my favorite.  In ME2, I have saves where Shep remained faithful to Ashley, remained faithful to Liara, and the single Shep from ME1 has a romance with Miranda.  Ashley still remains my favorite and the canon LI for my Shep.

I don't expect any fireworks if you were unfaithful or swapped LI's mid-trilogy, but I do expect some witty banter and consequences.

Favourite heterosexual romances:

MaleShep with Jack. So touching.

Femshep with Thane or Kaidan, I like both, Thane is very passionate and Kaidan is very romantic.

Now, to make same sex romances :D

Vega looks very interesting and I might have to make a femshep for him. I think I will play the game first and see what he is like. I will probably romance him. To be honest femshep romance options weren't the best. Garrus has been like a best friend/bro, Jacob I couldn't get past the embarrasing voice Hale used, and Thane I was excited for. Exciting Assassin, new interesting alien but oh btw he is dying:pinched: Geez thanks! Thane's romance was sweet but he is dying so that will be too sad for me. So I will remain with Kaidan and probably do a romance with Vega. Kaidan might not be for some but hey different strokes for different folks. I love his personality.

I just made a mshep and I'm thinking about Ashely??? Not sure yet. I guess I don't know if to be paragon or renegade with Ashley?

Edit: I agree with Maurro on Thane and Kaidan being passionate and romantic.

My comment in this thread was to encourage a broader range of heterosexual romance discussion than merely "who will you romance?", as we already have a thread for that. Since there has been very little on-topic discussion here, i'm going to shut this thread down and suggest you start a new thread on the subject. Thank you.

End of line.
