@ Seboist & AgitatedLemon -- Peace love and happiness, people. One of the things we should appreciate about Mass Effect is how we can each create our own game, with or without Miranda being our number one LI.

She doesn't really need to be #1.

But the uncalled for bashing is getting really old, regardless of who it's for.

Is this what you people do on the BSN? Bash each other's favourite characters? Next you'll be telling me that you all insult certain people just because their favourites got put onto the ME3 squad and yours didn't.

@ ADLegend21 -- As a s/s thread regular, I don't mind this thread in the slightest so long as it stays civil. I do appreciate the irony though, in that I see several s/s fans here happily and with civility talking about their o/s LI story-lines.

I am concerned, however, that it may be derailed by Tali and Miranda bashing. Like I said, so long as it's civil I hope it stays open.

What "bashing"? I only posted that Miranda's romance could have been better by integrating it with the story.

Well, as you can see I'm very new. I had just heard from someone that it might have been the case. But as you are the clear impartial authority on these matters, I suppose I must have been misinformed.

I have other "extra" Shepard I create just to check things out. I romanced Tali but found it... creepy.

I had no idea how it was going to play out. I ASSUMED that they would acknowledge their love for each other and remain lovers tragically kept apart by suits and clean rooms save quick moments of contact (quick kiss or touch of a hand). But no, she pops into the bedroom with some magic Mordin sex gel and they go test out the bed-springs.

Mordin had nothing to do with it.

People bash Miranda? Sure, I've seen a few jabs here and there about her looks, but aside from that, she seems like one of the most well done characters. I guess I haven't experienced BSN to its fullest yet.

Honestly, from my experience anyway, a lot of the bashing starts to develop when ever the fanbases start to impose their "One True Love" views on others.

Initially, she was just bashed by people who just happened to dislike her character, but more recently people have been more critical of her almost in response to her fanbase getting more vocal about her not being a Party Member for ME3. So yeah, Miranda is the new Tali.

Listen, you! I blame Mordin! For everything! Don't think he wasn't trying to deflect blame for bringing scale itch on the Normandy! He's guilty, dammit! I mean, JUST LOOK AT THOSE EYES!!!!!!!

Mordin is the best LI; he's always there for you, gets through his emotional problems quickly, and can understand what it's like to make hard decisions.

First of all, if quarian immune systems were really so fragile that Shepard and Tali couldn't have sex even under very controlled and careful circumstances, then situations like Kal-Reegar on Haestrom would certainly result in death. And that would be a shame.

Second, I like Mordin. He sees all life as precious, even chickens. Most people just want to eat us.

And in a I-hope-not-vain attempt to get this thread BACK ON TOPIC, I point out that this picture is a celebration of heterosexuality since (as far as we know) Gonzo only likes FEMALE chickens.

It's a good thing that I am a male chicken, then. I certainly wouldn't want to be sexually harassed by that fellow.

I see that too and it makes me happy since I expected to see trolling, but yeah the LI bashing is going to be a problem if the good intentions (all though unnecessary) are to be realized.

Indeed, might as well also take down the non-heterosexual romance thread then.

Agreed.

I'm a homosexual player and a HUGE advocate for gay romances and I agree as well it would be hypocritical to keep a same-sex thread open and not a heterosexual one. Since this isn't a thread AGAINST same-sex romances and just one to celebrate the heterosexual ones I don't see the issue.

Lessee, my femSheps always romance Kaidan (I cannot resist), and my manSheps have romanced one of each female love interest from ME2 at least once (separately). I find that among all of the maleShepard romance options, I like the paragon!Jack romance (with a renegade Shepard) the best. She finally lets go of her bitterness and fear, steels up her courage and offers her heart to Shepard with no guarantee that she won't be rejected. I kind of like that.

As for my femShep/Kaidan romances, well, I like the fact that (in my opinion) Kaidan and Shepard got the chance to become friends before they were lovers. I do often times find myself wondernig how long they would have been able to keep their relationship a secret and remain stationed on the same ship together, though (fraternization regs and all).

I've found a thread for pretty much every group exist, with exception of  the heterosexual players only (Yes, we do exist). I'm starting this thread for discussion on just that.

Male & Female Sheps heterosexual relationships and what you want to see in Mass Effect 3.

There is absolutely no need for this thread. I'm the OP of the Ashley ME3 Thread and I'm pretty much the only person in the thread that refers to Shepard as female. We have dialogues, captions, screenshots and fan arts and besides me and anotehr poster the Shepard's are all Male (Sheploo mostly) and my poor femshep is te only girl not named Ashley in the thread. Even the Kaidan thread, you seen femshep art, femshep fan fic, femsheps and every thing. same with Garrus, Thane, Tali, Miranda, Jack, and Jacob. Hell the WORLD nowadays is Heterosexual until proven Gay. That's why there's a Same Sex romance hread because it's not the standard. It's like Having a Maleshep thread when all the screenshots, trailers, gameplay demo's and such ARE maleshep. The standard doesn't need to be spotlighted because it's the standard. It's the "unsung" things that need to be spot lighted, Femshep is FINALLY gettting a trailer because her fans asked for it, Same sex romance needs it's own thread because the fans asked for it. This thread is redundant and should be closed.

I understand that you are mad about the fact that not a lot of people seem to share your obsession with Ashley/Femshep stuff. But that doesn't mean this thread is redundant. You really should learn to accept differing opinions.

There actually is no lesbian thread as the lesbians and gays have been put into the same basket.
