Hey guys, I know a week or two ago there was an exerpt of a ME Deception chapter that had a lukewarm reception.  Del Rey has the first 50 pages of the novel online now and it's pretty good.  It has some stuff on the Illusive Man and Kai Leng.

Asexual also generally means a utter lack of sexual interest. Of which the Asari don't really fit.

I kind of just skimmed over it because I have it on pre-order, but it looks the like book takes place before the Arrival DLC, because there is no way a human would be allowed on Khar-Shan.

How the hell do you know TIM's DNA to kill him or people related to him, but not know his identity?

Hell, how do you even get the knowledge of his DNA to start with?

And why would TIM send a guy that "limps" on missions?

The guy is unknown. Probably got the info from the Shadow Broker or a former Cerberus operative who was close to TIm. Remember the one who made it is unknown

Kai Leng is probably the closest person available in the area. Its not like he has enough time to send in a strike team to clear it out. I would think that after Cerberus basically nearly got curbstomped by the Turians they would have people every where busy dealing with cleaning up that mess. If one of his best agents is in the area and they just learn about this auction then it couldn't hurt to make sure somebody stop thousands of people (including TIM) from dying.

While that material is on this excerpt, there are some things worth reading.  It's at least worth a skim of the Kai Leng and Illusive Man parts.

Flesh sex, mind sex, its still two life forms performing an action to create a third life form.  Asexual reproduction requires only a single lifeform that creates a second by essentially cloning itself. 

So by textbook defenition, no Asari are not asexual.

Unless they somehow biotically phase a kid out of the womb its likely the Asari have a vagina.

Finished the first chapter. Dietz doesn't elaborate on Kai's escape or his plan to leave Khar'shan in one piece... he just sort of trails off with Kai Leng walking out the front door.

First strike, I guess. :/

Not even going to bother. The last preview was enough for me.

If I want to know the story I'll just skim the Mass Effect Wiki a few days after the novel releases.
