I.... I didn't like this. I skimmed the first few pages... it felt like..bad fanfic to me... I'm sorry, it just did.

Also... I thought..Gillian was... quieter in Acension? Someone posted autistic? What happened? I'm happy to see more active...but autisim isn't soemthing you can really.. handwave...(maybe you can?)

Seriously, I honestly don't give a s*** about these ME novels usually, but seeing just how ******-poor this book is - everything from the prose to the god-awful factual errors of the universe - is seriously annoying the hell outta me.

The thing is, this book is absolutely dreadful - but several time it becomes so ludicrously bad that you just can't help but laugh. Like the cereal scene, and every single mention of a roly-poly volus.

This just goes to show that Dietz didn't even bother with what happened in previous books: Gillian was well taken care of at the Academy, and she was the one who wanted to join the crew of the Idenna. GOD. DAMMIT.
