You know, I really want to know what the Councilor Version of Anderson would be doing in this book.

Falsfifying C-Sec records?  'Tis but a simple hack!

THIS IS PURE CRAP. YOU SHOULD BE IN AWE.

Yeah, with Kahlee's experience with technology as seen in Revelation she might have been able to do it, but such an offhand reference is just weird. C-SEC DOES HAVE SOME ACTUAL SECURITY, Y'KNOW.

This may be the first time the mods side with the pissed-off regular forumites.

There's just no defending this, IF it's real, which I'm still not entirely sure it is

Kai Leng apparently requires several months to update his information on THE MAN HE IS TO BE WATCHING.

At least in Chapter Four he mentions that Gillian and the quarians are keeping an eye on the Cerberus agent, but then again it gives us this gem:

So as the ex-slave pushed his way through the crowd of reporters, clearly intent on leaving the area as quickly as possible, the biotic gave him a gentle "shove." It was similar to a "throw" except less powerful and more focused.

The hell, Dietz? Did you really need all the quotes, as if we couldn't infer what the hell you were talking about? And why would we need this information? WE'VE SEEN WHAT BIOTICS CAN DO, SHOVING SOMEONE IS NOT A SURPRISE.

NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. I NEED TO EXPLAIN TO YOU THAT IT'S LIKE THE POWER "THROW" IN THE MASS EFFECT VIDEO GAME. GET IT? I'M A WRITER!

We've been seeing the preview from a lot of places, so it's doubtful that the actual product will be any different.

I've gotten to the cereal-eating scene:

"But Leng was something of an adrenaline junkie, and enjoyed being where he was."

LOL. Yeah, that's exactly the sort of behavior you'd expect from a cold-blooded pro like Kai Leng. Stealing breakfast food for cheap thrills.

I like to think that the cereal in question was his favorite and he was just trying to justify it to himself.

The f***?   <_<

Seriously, I honestly don't give a s*** about these ME novels usually, but seeing just how ******-poor this book is - everything from the prose to the god-awful factual errors of the universe - is seriously annoying the hell outta me.:pinched:

Yep. It's literally a PDF of the book itself. It's not some weird scan or something.

The thing is, this book is absolutely dreadful - but several time it becomes so ludicrously bad that you just can't help but laugh. Like the cereal scene, and every single mention of a roly-poly volus.

And the injustice that made you so passionate about the human cause that you were transformed from the equivalent of raw ore into a finished blade.

Dammit, TIM, that's the worst way to present Kai Leng's case.

For the first time in her life Gillian felt free. Because for as long as she could remember she had been a captive. First of the Grissom Academy then of the quarian fleet.

This just goes to show that Dietz didn't even bother with what happened in previous books: Gillian was well taken care of at the Academy, and she was the one who wanted to join the crew of the Idenna. GOD. DAMMIT.
