Eh, no they're not.
They are mono-gender
They are indeed asexual. The only genes they pass on to their offspring comes from only one parent.

After reading both the excerpt and Didymos's... well, amusing commentary... I can't decide if I should cancel my order of this book, or read it just to watch the trainwreck for myself.
I'm totally reading the hell out of this thing. It's honestly impressive in its wrongness.

Six hours had passed since the end of the battle and Hal McCann felt disappointed. Rather than being freed he and all the rest of the slaves had been placed under guard and led onto the quarian ship.
The quarians, obligate germophobes, hauled a bunch of filthy slaves, some of whom were sick, onto their own ship instead of leaving them under guard on the batarian slaver.

That's not how Dietz was using it there. He meant it as "lacking a biological sex", which the asari don't. They're female.

Oh god I can't believe I missed that before, but now that I see it... I can't STOP seeing it.
Dammit, Dietz.
And depending on the definition Dietz was right about the asexual thing, but I doubt he was even aware of the alternate definitions.

Yeah, I actually give him a pass there because even the devs can't keep it straight. Not to mention how much confusion the whole asari thing causes people in general.

I still don't understand how Bioware could let all these errors and mistakes slip through?! Quality control on your product.. what happened to it?
The people responsible for it didn't think we were smart enough to notice the problems?

Yeah, the omniscient narrator was probably like: "Screw this, 'asexual' is easy enough to say..."

OMFG. Hal McCann decides to leave Anderson and Kahlee's place, and...they just LET HIM GO. And they know he's Cerberus! 'Cause what would be the point of calling C-Sec? None, according to Anderson. And, BTW? This is after they tell Gillian it's TIMs fault her dad is dead, and that this whole revenge thing is a bad idea 'cause, like, Reapers! So anyway, she upset about that and SHE leaves. Everyone thinks this is a good idea, and decides to let her walk it off.
This is me:

The thing is, Hal McCann being a member of Cerberus is something they could easily prove. Just talk to the turian that Anderson worked with in Retribution and see if they actually lost a ship the way Hal said they did - then bam, identity proven.
And yeah, everyone seems to be passing around the Idiot Ball rather regularly.
