No, but it looks like the all-human council is non-canon. And if the old council died, the game seems to follow the paragon version (where the humans lead the council but the other races still have seat).

It was implied in ME2 that killing the council in ME1 results in a human-led council, not an all human council.

I know that. But try to have a renegade Shepard and kill the council (and to make it more clear, have Udina as councilor). The ending speech states that the new council will only consist of humans.

Yes but this isn't carried over to ME2. It doesn't take notice of whether you were paragon or renegade when you let them die- the human-led council has been canon since ME2.

The only thing that made me think the save the council choice was canon, was when he was describing the asari councilor.

That is what I have been saying!
The ultimative renegade ending of ME1 states that the new council will only consist of humans (all human council), yet when you play ME2 it suggest that the new council is human led (humans are leading the council, but the aliens are still there).
Therefor it seems that the all human council is non-canon!

Don't make me laugh, dammit, my fevered striken body can barely hold together as it is!
Seriously though, this thread, and the excerpts, are just gold.
I was actually looking forward to seeing Gillian and Kai-Leng again, since they were the most interesting characters in the books that never made it to the game. Well, for Kai-Leng, I guess I'll just leave him to his cereal eating (seriously?) and pray he gets back to his old self by Mass Effect 3. But as for Gillian...
I can't just get over how the writer just got over the fact that Gillian is, as you know, an autist. Now, I'm not an expert on the matter, but from what I've read and know, I didn't get the impression you could just "get over it" like you never had it. You can overcome some aspects with a lot of specialized training and counseling, but it stays with you to some degree. Right?
What's that you say? Ah yes! As you know, Mass Effect fields can work miracles these days!
Jokes aside, I've learned the hard way that you just don't do exposition like this. It's boring and alienates both the people who know the stuff you're writting about (making the errors all that much more glaring) and the ones who don't (who get lost and confused anyway). Just weave it naturally, it's not rocket science. You'd think someone who wrote for a living would know this.
And I was so interested in reading this too.

“My God,” the asari Council member said feelingly.
"By the Goddess, that's wrong too," the BSN poster said pissed-offedly.
